New Delhi [India], July 21 (ANI / PNN): According to the World Economic Forum, 133 million new jobs will be created in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) by 2022. Job demand and growth is projected in three key areas: data analysts and data scientists, AImachine learning specialists (including AI software engineers), and big data specialists. At the peak of decision-intelligence companies, use software that embeds AI within organizations across sales, marketing, planning, and supply chains to transform decision-making. The company has grown rapidly in the last 12 months, expanding its teams in Jaipur (India) and the United Kingdom, as well as opening new offices in the United States and Pune (India). As a result, Peak is creating 150 new jobs worldwide this year, including roles in data science and AI software engineering.

When opportunity knocks, open the door: No one has taken heed of that adage like Nvidia, which has transformed itself from a company focused on catering to the needs of video gamers to one at the heart of the artificial-intelligence revolution. In 2001, no one predicted that the same processor architecture developed to draw realistic explosions in 3D would be just the thing to power a renaissance in deep learning. But when Nvidia realized that academics were gobbling up its graphics cards, it responded, supporting researchers with the launch of the CUDA parallel computing software framework in 2006. Since then, Nvidia has been a big player in the world of high-end embedded AI applications, where teams of highly trained (and paid) engineers have used its hardware for things like autonomous vehicles. Now the company claims to be making it easy for even hobbyists to use embedded machine learning, with its US $100 Jetson Nano dev kit, which was originally launched in early 2019 and rereleased this March with several upgrades.

The major applications of AI in supply chains are in demand management, warehouse execution, and chatbots serving procurement professionals.

IDC released today its worldwide IT industry predictions for 2020 in a webcast with Frank Gens, IDC's senior vice president and chief analyst. The focus for the 10 predictions for next year and beyond is the rise of the digital economy. By 2023, IDC predicts, over half (52%) of global GDP will be accounted for by digitally transformed enterprises. To drive digital supremacy, an enterprise must devote half of its budget to supporting digital innovation, establishing a large-scale, high-performing, digital innovation factories and a third-party ecosystem to produce digital products and provide fee-based wholesale digital services to other enterprise. The latter will be an entire new enterprise competency, similar to the management of Amazon's platform for third-party sellers.

In a world where 90% of the data ever generated has been created in the last two years, it's becoming increasingly clear we could do with a little help to make sense of it all. With 2.5 quintillion bytes of data being generated each day it's a technology that's both essential and potentially revolutionary. Volumes of data of that size are hard to comprehend and, if dealing with the data was left to us alone, would be even harder to draw value from.

But while 85 percent of companies surveyed believe AI will help them outpace competition, only a handful of them have gotten started.
