Google Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL Review

WIRED

I spoke to my friend in Russian over the phone. "Oh my god, this is crazy!" she responded. I was using the Google Pixel 10's new real-time voice translation feature in phone calls, which employs generative AI to listen to a snippet of your voice at the start of the call, and then generates an approximation (calls aren't recorded, and processing happens on the device). I could hear myself on her end, a familiar deep rumbling, except in a completely foreign language. My friend said she preferred hearing my voice, even if it was slightly off, over a robotic translation.

Can AI make photos of you look better than you do in real life?

FOX News

AI expert Marva Bailer tells Fox News Digital how the open availability of artificial intelligence can have negative impacts and talks potential federal legislation to control it. We all have photos that capture our precious moments in life. Whether it's a family vacation, a graduation ceremony or a birthday party, we want to preserve these memories and share them with others. How Can Artificial Intelligence Shape the Future of Photo Editing?

#artificialintelligence

By the 1950s, several scientists, philosophers, mathematicians, and others had AI incorporated inside their minds. But human beings have now learned how to transform the concept into reality. In recent times, AI has widespread applications everywhere. AI has the potential to learn quickly from a significant amount of data. It ensures that some of the most technical issues can be tackled without hassle. But it can also feed your excitement and squeeze out your creativity at work.

How Artificial Intelligence is Transforming Video Editing?

#artificialintelligence

Artificial intelligence's development has altered many facets of our existence. Video editing software is one example of a shift. When it comes to operating simple applications like video editing software, AI technology is starting to engage and even replace workers in some situations. The fundamental notion is that AI will learn from its mistakes and make more precise choices than a human ever could. For individuals who rely on their employment as video editors, this may seem frightening, but there are still numerous ways humans can help in the management that cannot be handled by an algorithm just yet.

Instagram updates Reels recommendation algorithm to de-rank clips with TikTok watermarks

Daily Mail - Science & tech

Instagram is taking on TikTok with a new update that will de-rank Reels with its competitor's watermark. The update is being unleashed to an algorithm tasked with recommending Reels with the hopes of users creating unique content on the platform – and not just recycling from other apps. Instagram launched Reels just five days before former President Donald Trump announced plans to ban Chinese-owned TikTok in the US, with the hopes of being the front runner in the video content space. However, six months later and Reels has not gained uptick in usage as Instagram had hoped and TikTok is still around and seems to be thriving with its some 100 million users in just the US alone – which may be why Instagram is not promoting the watermarked clips. Reels offers users shot-form video editing tools that lets users be creative with 30-second video clips with captions and music.

The Essence of AI in Video Editing in 2020 - IntelligentHQ

#artificialintelligence

Artificial intelligence or AI applies to a machine that can mimic actions like a human by analyzing the data. Machines are programmed to learn from data so that they can solve complex problems. Every sector and industry has benefited from AI. Another area where AI is evolving to be a handy tool is video editing. AI in video editing is at an early stage. It has the potential to revolutionize the video editing field completely.

How Artificial Intelligence is Transforming Video Editing - IntelligentHQ

#artificialintelligence

In the last few years artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) have both started to feature more prominently in technology. That is especially the case in video editing, where artificial intelligence is being integrated in more and more ways. Not long from now, AI may completely transform video editing – and in some ways it already is starting to do just that. One of the earliest examples of AI's use in video editing was as far back as 2016 when IBM used their Watson supercomputer to curate footage and create a trailer for the horror film Morgan. Essentially Watson used machine learning to analyze other trailers, and then applied what it learned to curate and select scenes from the film that it felt would be good for the trailer.
