Black Friday starts early: Prepare to refresh your computer a lot
The good news: You won't have to camp out in front of Best Buy for that big screen TV "doorbuster" deal. The bad: So many will, indeed, be gathered at the same time, but you'll all be online for the Black Friday super sales. Who has the quickest trigger finger? Black Friday sales start earlier this year, as soon as Sunday, if you're not counting the Black Friday-adjacent sales that have already been out there. The "doorbusters" of years past are now online specials, starting at staggered times.
Best Buy's '20 Days of Doorbusters' promises exciting deals in December
If you make a purchase by clicking one of our links, we may earn a small share of the revenue. However, our picks and opinions are independent from USA Today's newsroom and any business incentives. Best Buy is counting down the days to Christmas with its own kind of Advent calendar, which starts Saturday, Dec. 1. But instead of candy, Best Buy will be unveiling a new tech doorbuster each day Saturday through Dec. 20 for its second annual "20 Days of Doorbusters." The secret doorbusters will include laptops, 4K TVs, smartphones and video game consoles and Apple, Samsung, Dyson and Microsoft products.
Dell's Black Friday deals are peek at deals to come
Add Dell to the list of retailers teasing customers with Black Friday deals early. The computer company on Tuesday followed e-tailer giant Amazon with the release of its Black Friday deals, offering an indication of tech discounts expected for the big post-Thanksgiving shopping day, especially on 4K TVs and video game systems. Among Dell's notable deals are a 43-inch 4K TV from LG for $299.99 that comes with an additional $30 Dell gift card. There's also a 55-inch Samsung 4K TV for $599.99 that comes with a $150 Dell gift card. The Samsung TV will be the featured "doorbuster" -- or headline -- deal available on November 24 at 8PM ET at Dell.com, while the LG will be available a few hours later at midnight ET.
