AI can predict your future behaviour with powerful new simulations
The US presidential election campaign is in its final days. Donald Trump is behind in the polls and the pundits are predicting a win for his Democrat challenger, former vice president Joe Biden. He boasts that he will win again. With two weeks to go, his campaign unleashes an offensive in the crucial swing states: adverts, Facebook posts, WhatsApp groups and tweets. They warn of violent crime and civil unrest driven by immigrants and gangs, playing up Trump's endorsement by evangelicals and smearing Biden as a closet atheist. The initiative works and Trump snatches another unlikely victory.

Software developer gets fired by a machine
Artificial Intelligence (AI) are becoming more common in industries such as banks, insurance companies, wealth management firms, factories, ecommerce, retail firms, train stations, hotels and other service industries. While there is a constant fear of AI taking over human jobs in the future, in this particular case, an error made by a human cost an employee his job. Ibrahim Diallo, a Californian software developer, was fired from his job by a machine, because his previous manager hadn't renewed his contract on the new computer system that lead to various automated systems get into action and in the end, him being escorted from the office building by two security guards. What's more ironic, that even his managers were powerless to stop it. "I was fired," Diallo who shared his story in a detailed blog post said.

This man was fired by a computer. Real AI could have saved him
Ibrahim Diallo was allegedly fired by a machine. Recent news reports relayed the escalating frustration he felt as his security pass stopped working, his computer system login was disabled, and finally he was frogmarched from the building by security personnel. His managers were unable to offer an explanation and powerless to overrule the system. Some might think this was a taste of things to come as artificial intelligence is given more power over our lives. Personally, I drew the opposite conclusion.

Man Was Fired By His Company's AI System Due To Human Error, As Managers 'Stood Powerless'
Ibrahim Diallo was fired from his job by the company's AI system, as managers scrambled to figure out the problem and watched him be escorted from the building. In what many are considering a grave warning of the potential consequences of AI in the workplace, a man was fired by his company's AI system. Worst of all, his human managers "stood helpless" throughout the firing process. Nobody had any real answers at first, and no human was able to keep the man from being escorted out of the building by security. Ibrahim Diallo, a programmer for a company in Los Angeles, described his "automated" firing in a viral blog post, described the New Zealand Herald.
