How AI and Chatbots are Changing the Development Landscape - Datafloq

#artificialintelligence

Artificial intelligence, along with deep learning systems, is one of the key driving forces in modern software and hardware development. Regardless of the industry or the sector, AI and machine learning applications are becoming virtually endless, as nowadays these technologies can help businesses achieve their micro and macro goals efficiently and effectively. When it comes to mobile app development and the features that modern apps bring to the consumers, AI and machine learning can greatly streamline the process while enhancing the in-app user experience. Let's put that into perspective and take a look at how these technologies are changing mobile app development, just in time for your next app development project in 2023. Here's what you need to know.

AI Voice Apps

The time is right for investing in the global natural language processing (NLP) market, projected to grow from $20.98 billion in 2021 to $127.26 billion in 2028 at a CAGR of 29.4% in that forecast period. To get a sense on NLP user perspectives, this past February, Applause surveyed its global crowdtesting community to gain insight into perceptions around the use of artificial intelligence (AI) voice applications such as chatbots, interactive voice response (IVR), and other conversational assistants. Check out our summary infographic for some highlights. We had over 6,600 responses from around the world. I want to share our findings and call out a few interesting points.

Financial Chatbots Are Coming, But It's More About the "Bot" Than "Chat"

#artificialintelligence

Tyler Griffin, Entrepreneur in Residence at CFSI, recently wrote a wonderful article on financial chatbots, covering the history of their use with a focus on the modern-day user experience and highlighting their current limitations, especially those not powered by "true artificial intelligence." Griffin's article brought up a lot of great points. Because some financial chatbots operate through SMS messaging, they don't require users to download another app. This is a huge bonus for consumers with limited storage space on their devices. And from a development perspective, chat functionality can be deployed fast, resulting in rapid validation of new features.
