'War on Crypto Is Over': Donald Trump Pardons Binance Founder CZ
After serving a federal prison sentence for violating anti-money-laundering laws and US sanctions, former crypto exchange CEO Changpeng Zhao has been pardoned by US president Donald Trump. US president Donald Trump has pardoned Changpeng Zhao, founder of the world's largest crypto exchange, Binance. Zhao, widely known as CZ, pled guilty in November 2023 to violating anti-money-laundering laws and US sanctions. The plea formed part of a sweeping deal with the US Department of Justice, under which Binance was required to pay a record-breaking $4.3 billion penalty. Zhao ultimately spent four months in federal prison.

RL Is a Hammer and LLMs Are Nails: A Simple Reinforcement Learning Recipe for Strong Prompt Injection
Wen, Yuxin, Zharmagambetov, Arman, Evtimov, Ivan, Kokhlikyan, Narine, Goldstein, Tom, Chaudhuri, Kamalika, Guo, Chuan
Prompt injection poses a serious threat to the reliability and safety of LLM agents. Recent defenses against prompt injection, such as Instruction Hierarchy and SecAlign, have shown notable robustness against static attacks. However, to more thoroughly evaluate the robustness of these defenses, it is arguably necessary to employ strong attacks such as automated red-teaming. To this end, we introduce RL-Hammer, a simple recipe for training attacker models that automatically learn to perform strong prompt injections and jailbreaks via reinforcement learning. RL-Hammer requires no warm-up data and can be trained entirely from scratch. To achieve high ASRs against industrial-level models with defenses, we propose a set of practical techniques that enable highly effective, universal attacks. Using this pipeline, RL-Hammer reaches a 98% ASR against GPT -4o and a 72% ASR against GPT -5 with the Instruction Hierarchy defense. We further discuss the challenge of achieving high diversity in attacks, highlighting how attacker models tend to "reward-hack" diversity objectives. Finally, we show that RL-Hammer can evade multiple prompt injection detectors. We hope our work advances automatic red-teaming and motivates the development of stronger, more principled defenses. More recently, a new paradigm has emerged that allows LLMs to behave as autonomous agents in complex environments, including full-fledged operating systems, integrated software platforms, and multi-step tool pipelines. In these contexts, LLMs can function as coding assistants, system administrators, and even academic researchers. Notable examples include Microsoft Copilot (GitHub, 2025), Anthropic Claude Computer Use (Anthropic, 2024), OpenAI Operator (OpenAI, 2025), and Zochi (Intology, 2025), each demonstrating the potential to combine sophisticated reasoning with direct system control. As these capabilities continue to advance, LLM agents are expected to be integrated into an even broader range of systems, becoming indispensable in both consumer and enterprise applications. However, these capabilities also introduce significant security risks, most notably prompt injection.
Exploring Sentiment Dynamics and Predictive Behaviors in Cryptocurrency Discussions by Few-Shot Learning with Large Language Models
Tash, Moein Shahiki, Ahani, Zahra, Tash, Mohim, Kolesnikova, Olga, Sidorov, Grigori
This study performs analysis of Predictive statements, Hope speech, and Regret Detection behaviors within cryptocurrency-related discussions, leveraging advanced natural language processing techniques. We introduce a novel classification scheme named "Prediction statements," categorizing comments into Predictive Incremental, Predictive Decremental, Predictive Neutral, or Non-Predictive categories. Employing GPT-4o, a cutting-edge large language model, we explore sentiment dynamics across five prominent cryptocurrencies: Cardano, Binance, Matic, Fantom, and Ripple. Our analysis reveals distinct patterns in predictive sentiments, with Matic demonstrating a notably higher propensity for optimistic predictions. Additionally, we investigate hope and regret sentiments, uncovering nuanced interplay between these emotions and predictive behaviors. Despite encountering limitations related to data volume and resource availability, our study reports valuable discoveries concerning investor behavior and sentiment trends within the cryptocurrency market, informing strategic decision-making and future research endeavors.

Pump and Dumps in the Bitcoin Era: Real Time Detection of Cryptocurrency Market Manipulations
La Morgia, Massimo, Mei, Alessandro, Sassi, Francesco, Stefa, Julinda
In the last years, cryptocurrencies are increasingly popular. Even people who are not experts have started to invest in these securities and nowadays cryptocurrency exchanges process transactions for over 100 billion US dollars per month. However, many cryptocurrencies have low liquidity and therefore they are highly prone to market manipulation schemes. In this paper, we perform an in-depth analysis of pump and dump schemes organized by communities over the Internet. We observe how these communities are organized and how they carry out the fraud. Then, we report on two case studies related to pump and dump groups. Lastly, we introduce an approach to detect the fraud in real time that outperforms the current state of the art, so to help investors stay out of the market when a pump and dump scheme is in action.

Techscape: The biggest tech stories of 2023 – from cyber warfare to AI's 'existential risk'
We have made it – almost – through another year without being churned into paste by a super-intelligent AI, conscripted into a Martian work camp by an insane billionaire or forced offline by a Carrington event. Even in the absence of civilisation-altering events it's been a busy year. But the advantage of a slow week (I hope that isn't tempting fate) is that you can reflect on the past 12 months and realise that, sometimes, there's only a few stories that really matter. The Guardian has confirmed it was hit by a ransomware attack in December and that the personal data of UK staff members has been accessed in the incident. "We believe this was a criminal ransomware attack, and not the specific targeting of the Guardian as a media organisation," said Guardian Media Group's chief executive, Anna Bateson and the Guardian's editor-in-chief, Katharine Viner.

Binance forays into AI with "Bicasso" to create NFTs with a few clicks - Geek Metaverse
On March 1, Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, launched the beta version of "Bicasso," the new artificial intelligence service for creating non-fungible tokens (NFTs). According to Binance, users will be able to easily materialize their creative visions by converting them into NFTs through this new AI tool. "Bicasso's advanced AI technology allows you to paint the picture of your dreams with ease. Just enter a description of what you want to see, a'prompt' (only available in English in this version), and watch our Bicasso robot bring your imagination to life in just a few seconds," the release quoted. When a user enters a prompt into the "Bicasso" tool, the AI generates 4 different images based on the English words or sentences entered into the "magic words" section.
How ChatGPT AI Can Increase Crypto Adoption - Silvermint
The ChatGPT generative AI system has taken the tech world by storm and become the source of endless amusing social media posts. The ChatGPT AI simplifies complex concepts and presents them in a manner that is suitable for a noob in the crypto space. The Finbold team, in fact, had the chatbot explain Bitcoin like a 1920s mobster. "Alright boss, let me break it down for you. Bitcoin is like this stash of cash we got hidden away, see. Only instead of being in a physical place like a safety deposit box, it's all digital, get it? And just like regular money, you can use it to buy things, but there's a few key differences."
Binance about ChatGTP AI model: it helps foster adoption and education about crypto
In a recent blog post, Binance stated its support for the AI model ChatGPT, highlighting its potential to help improve cryptocurrency adoption and education. The chatbot developed by OpenAI went viral in a very short time, quickly becoming one of the fastest growing consumer apps in history. The cryptocurrency exchange platform Binance discussed the immense potential of generative AI, which seems to have taken the tech world by storm. Within the post, the exchange discussed the potential of AI to accelerate mainstream adoption of digital assets. Apparently, ChatGPT has been a consistent headline so far in 2023.
