As a result, the company has "placed the model into end of life status," and no longer plans to produce it. The 5060 Ti 16GB "is almost done as well, with ASUS stating it no longer plans to produce that model going forward either.

ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X Review: High Performance, High Price
These are high-power, high-performance handhelds--but steep pricing and a cluttered UI hold Xbox's first portables back from greatness. A new Asus BIOS tweak can boost Ryzen AI performance by 20 percent
A combination of AMD's 3D V-Cache, AI, and multiple cores offers enthusiasts a bold new opportunity for tweaking the performance of their PCs. But a new Asus BIOS option, Asus AI Cache Boost, takes the potential complexity out of it all, offering double-digit performance increases just by enabling the Cache Boost option. We've already discovered that you can boost the performance of a Ryzen AI Max processor by up to 60 percent just by adjusting the UMA frame buffer. The new Asus BIOS option offers a related tweak specifically for AMD Ryzen 9950X3D and 9900X3D processors. Naturally, the performance varies depending upon the type of applications being run.
ASUS's Zenfone 12 Ultra leans heavily into AI
The Zenfone 12 Ultra, announced today, is ASUS's latest flagship smartphone, and much like its competitors, it leans hard into AI. Thanks to a Snapdragon 8 Elite, the Zenfone 12 Ultra can perform AI tasks offline and online through the cloud, including transcribing audio, summarizing articles and documents and providing real-time interpretation on calls for supported languages. It can also use Circle to Search much like other Android phones. The onboard AI is powered by Meta's Llama 3 8B language model, which works without an internet connection. The Zenfone 12 Ultra's FHD AMOLED display measures 6.78 inches and has a standard refresh rate of up to 120Hz under normal operation, and up to 144Hz while gaming.

How iconic NUC mini-PCs are being reimagined for a new era
More than a year has passed since Asus' acquisition of the NUC brand from Intel, which marked the first major change the brand had seen since Intel launched it back in 2013. After more than a decade of continuity -- including last year's transition year where Intel still had a say on design -- this will be the real first year in which Asus has done most of the groundwork, fronting up with its own designs and innovations. So how is the NUC different now in this new era? I spoke to Kuo Wei Chao, general manager of Asus IoT business unit, to find out. The Asus NUC lineup announced at CES 2025 in Las Vegas included the NUC 14 AI and the more premium NUC 14 Pro AI with 48 TOPS NPU AI power and a dedicated Copilot button for quick access to the AI assistant. They were on display alongside two new powerful mini-PCs for everyday use featuring the latest Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) chips: the NUC 15 and NUC 15 Pro .
ASUS introduces six new Copilot PC laptops
ASUS unveiled a large collection of new Copilot PC laptops at IFA 2024, bringing AI power to several of its product lines. The company is splitting this portfolio into two branches, each powered by a different brand's processors. Some of them will have the entry-level Snapdragon X Plus from Qualcomm and others will run on the codenamed Lunar Lake models from Intel, including the new Core Ultra 200V. The Zenbook S14 is the lightweight option at 2.7 pounds and less than half an inch thick. The 14-inch machine runs on an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor that can provide up to 47 TOPS in its neural processing unit (NPU) for AI performance. Its screen is a 3K 120Hz OLED display.

ASUS' slimmed-down ProArt laptops focus on AI features
ASUS announced a trio of new releases in its ProArt line of laptops at this week's Computex expo in Taipei. These devices are generally thinner, lighter and more portable than previous generations, though that's where the similarities end. The ProArt 16 is a thinner and lighter version of the ProArt Studiobook, which we absolutely loved. The refreshed design is based on the chassis found with the ROG G16, but with some crucial differences. There's a 4K 60Hz screen and a virtual dialpad instead of the physical knob found on the Studiobook. It features a nano black coating that is said to be fingerprint-resistant.
The ASUS Zenbook S16 laptop boasts an ultra-thin design and AMD's latest AI chip
ASUS unveiled a bunch of new laptops at this week's Computex tech expo in Taipei, including a Zenbook refresh. The Zenbook S16 is as sleek and well-designed as ever, but comes with a spate of iterative improvements and a couple of major updates. It's equipped with AMD's Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, announced just hours ago. That chip promises improved laptop AI performance with 50 TOPS of processing power, triple AMD's previous laptop hardware. That makes it suitable for Copilot, meaning Qualcomm isn't the only game in town for Microsoft's AI assistant. One thing worth pointing out is that this laptop is extremely thin and light for a 16-inch model, clocking in at just over three pounds with a thickness of just 1.1cm or 0.4 inches.

ASUS' first Copilot PC locks when you walk away and unlocks when you return
ASUS isn't sitting out the rush of AI-enhanced Copilot PCs, which also includes new models from Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Samsung and, of course, Microsoft. The "ultra-thin" ASUS Vivobook S 15 has Windows AI features like memory assistant Recall, the image generator Cocreator, and several ASUS-exclusive AI apps. One of the more intriguing AI-powered features of the ASUS Vivobook S 15 is its use of the AiSense IR camera. ASUS says it can detect your presence and adjust the display accordingly. If you look away, the display will dim, and it will brighten up again when you look back.
