Intera\c{c}\~ao entre rob\^os humanoides: desenvolvendo a colabora\c{c}\~ao e comunica\c{c}\~ao aut\^onoma

arXiv.org Artificial Intelligence

Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences Abstract: This study investigates the interaction between humanoid robots NAO and Pepper, emphasizing their potential applications in educational settings. NAO, widely used in education, and Pepper, designed for social interactions, offer new opportunities for autonomous communication and collaboration. Through a series of programmed interactions, the robots demonstrated their ability to communicate and coordinate actions autonomously, highlighting their potential as tools for enhancing learning environments. The research also explores the integration of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, into these systems, allowing robots to learn from each other and adapt their behavior. The findings suggest that NAO and Pepper can significantly contribute to both technical learning and the development of social and emotional skills in students, offering innovative pedagogical approaches through the use of humanoid robotics.

Simulaci\'on de la distribuci\'on de alimento en el cultivo de camar\'on

arXiv.org Artificial Intelligence

This document presents the experimentation of 4 cases of food distribution for shrimp farming. The distributions are based on the location of the automatic feeders. Three cases applied in reality and a fourth case where the food is irrigated on the crop simultaneously and uniformly. In a first stage, the simulation of the three distribution cases is successfully adjusted to reality, where the trend of the shrimp growth curve is correlated with the historical data curve. A second stage where you experiment in 16 configurations that are based on the amount of food, the density of biomass and the distribution of the food. The simulation adopts the concepts of genetic algorithms to improve the population and fuzzy logic as an agent evaluation technique for decision-making against the quality of physical-chemical parameters in the simulated environment. The results of these interactions reveal a reduction in the simulated total culture time from 22 weeks to 14 weeks.

Experts in Artificial Intelligence (AI) development predict that advances in the development of intelligent systems and agents will reshape vital areas in our society. Nevertheless, if such an advance is not made prudently and critically, reflexively, it can result in negative outcomes for humanity. For this reason, several researchers in the area have developed a robust, beneficial, and safe concept of AI for the preservation of humanity and the environment. Currently, several of the open problems in the field of AI research arise from the difficulty of avoiding unwanted behaviors of intelligent agents and systems, and at the same time specifying what we really want such systems to do, especially when we look for the possibility of intelligent agents acting in several domains over the long term. It is of utmost importance that artificial intelligent agents have their values aligned with human values, given the fact that we cannot expect an AI to develop human moral values simply because of its intelligence, as discussed in the Orthogonality Thesis. Perhaps this difficulty comes from the way we are addressing the problem of expressing objectives, values, and ends, using representational cognitive methods. A solution to this problem would be the dynamic approach proposed by Dreyfus, whose phenomenological philosophy shows that the human experience of being-in-the-world in several aspects is not well represented by the symbolic or connectionist cognitive method, especially in regards to the question of learning values. A possible approach to this problem would be to use theoretical models such as SED (situated embodied dynamics) to address the values learning problem in AI.

Ambiente de Planejamento Ip\^e

In this work we investigate the systems that implements algorithms for the planning problem in Artificial Intelligence, called planners, with especial attention to the planners based on the plan graph. We analyze the problem of comparing the performance of the different algorithms and we propose an environment for the development and analysis of planners.
