Integrating Edge AI - DATAVERSITY

#artificialintelligence

Integrating edge artificial intelligence (AI) is not a simple process. Early forms of artificial intelligence relied on the computer power of data centers to perform their processor-demanding tasks. After some time, AI shifted into software, using predictive algorithms that changed how these systems support businesses. AI has now moved to the outer edges of networks. Artificial intelligence at the edge exists when local "edge" devices process AI algorithms instead of being processed in the cloud.

Consulting Services: Are you offering the futuristic services

#artificialintelligence

It is only a matter of time before artificial intelligence (AI) replaces even the most elite consultants. The only way to survive this transition is to upgrade yourself to become an AI consultant. Logical handling and machine learning (ML) capabilities form the basis of artificial intelligence (AI) consulting services. These capabilities assist enterprises with improving their business activities; and thus, many organizations rely on AI consultants and information science solutions. Lockdowns have forced businesses to conduct business off-site.

Machine Learning Outsourcing in 2021: Benefits & Challenges

#artificialintelligence

According to the "AI adoption in the enterprise 2020" survey by O'Reilly, 85% of organizations are using or evaluating to use AI. Other statistics on AI adoption clearly show that there is a significant interest in AI and ML in businesses as AI/ML provide numerous benefits through a diverse set of applications. However, successful applications require expertise in areas such as data processing and model building, and not every business has the resources to hire, train, and maintain in-house teams of machine learning professionals. Outsourcing machine learning projects to ML outsourcing companies or consultants is an alternative approach to implementing ML applications to your business. One of the most common questions faced by businesses that are planning to embark on a machine learning application is whether to implement it with an in-house team or outsource their ML project to an external AI/ML company.

The AI Catalyst Manifesto - Education as the Key to Enterprise AI Transformation

#artificialintelligence

Despite a relatively widespread understanding that AI is an inevitable force for winning market share and serving customers, by name estimates some 80-90% of AI projects fail. When AI projects lead to successful deployments and strategic or measurable ROI, it isn't because the right vendor was chosen, or the right algorithm was used. It's because someone lead the charge and not only chose the right project โ€“ but won the trust and air cover needed to see it through to deployment. At Emerj, we refer to an "AI catalyst" as: Someone who leads their company to AI adoption and ROI. But what does it mean to "lead" in this context?

How To Identify The Best AI Opportunities For Your Business โ€“ In 2 Simple Steps

#artificialintelligence

No organization can afford to sit back and ignore the potential of AI. Yet, rushing to adopt AI just because the technology exists can be just as damaging to a business. To fully realize the potential of AI โ€“ indeed, any new technology โ€“ you need to approach it with a clear business goal or need in mind. In other words, you need to identify and narrow down to the most valuable AI opportunities for your business (which means your approach could be quite different from that of your competitors). Let's explore each step in a little more detail.

Why Your Business Needs Artificial Intelligence Consulting

#artificialintelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI) consulting can help make the integration of AI solutions a seamless experience by providing you with the right solutions specific to your needs and specifications. Even though a large number of enterprises are jumping on the AI bandwagon, there are still some enterprises that are refraining from implementing AI. According to O'Riley, about 17% of enterprises find it difficult to identify appropriate use cases of AI, and 23% haven't even realized the need for AI implementation. These hurdles can easily be mitigated by employing AI consulting services to understand the potential benefits of AI at the workplace and ways to integrate AI solutions without affecting current infrastructure and procedures. AI consulting can provide enterprises the roadmap for AI implementation at the workplace.

AI, Machine Learning, and Unemployment

#artificialintelligence

Artificial intelligence and machine learning have allowed business to automate numerous processes, crunch large volumes of big data and find actionable insights better than humans. This, understandably, can make employees nervous. In this blog post, we explore the effects artificial intelligence and machine learning can have on employment, emerging employee roles and what the future may hold. In previous blog posts, we discussed big data and the effects it's having on many industries. As businesses deal with more variety and ever-increasing volumes of unstructured data, internal processes and the roles that manage them are rapidly changing.

How to Price an AI Project โ€“ Towards Data Science โ€“ Medium

@machinelearnbot

I have been asked many times by clients to provide fixed price estimates for large Machine Learning (ML) projects. I advise clients not to fight requirements changes in their first ML project, which is the exact opposite from traditional software development principles. Machine learning is not regular programming. It is basically applied data science, and rolls out very differently in an organization that already has a non-machine learning infrastructure as compared to a start-up with a clean slate. The bigger the unknown, or what I like to call requirements risk, the more I lean toward hourly rather than fixed price. Where requirements are very tight, or what I like to call an executable specification, the more I lean towards fixed pricing.

'We're a long way from a singularity' says 'Ex Machina' AI consultant

On-screen robots tend to rise up and crush their puny human masters with alarming regularity. "I decided to log every single incidence of artificial intelligence or robots in the history of cinema," Adam Rutherford, a British geneticist and author who served as AI consultant on the recent film "Ex Machina", tells CNET's Crave blog. "I think I calculated that 65 percent of them end up being a threat, and the rest of them are just servile." Speaking at a London event to promote the DVD and Blu-ray release of the critically acclaimed movie -- which tells the story of a humanoid robot cooked up by reclusive Web billionaire Nathan (played by Oscar Isaac) -- Rutherford says our yearning to portray robots on screen is one way in which we figure out our own minds. "It's the question of what makes us human," he says.
