Woman swindled out of $390,000 in crypto scam by man she met on dating app Hinge
A woman said she lost $390,000 after falling for an online crypto dating scam and wants to warn others. Nicole Hutchinson, of Tennessee, told CBS News not only did she lose her own money, but her father's, too while attempting to make friends before moving to California. Hutchinson inherited her mother's house after she died and decided to sell the property. She split the profit with her father and inherited $280,000 that was supposed to be used to help her family build a life in California. The 24-year-old decided to try the online dating site Hinge and matched with a man named "Hao" while visiting a friend in the state, the New York Times reported.

Apple-backed Kickstroid app gives sneakerheads the lowdown on those rare LeBron James kicks
Around this time two years ago, David Alston was running around the frigid streets of Chicago attending sneaker release pop-up parties during NBA All-Star Game weekend, trying to get some exposure for his upstart app, Kickstroid. His pre-pandemic objective: letting sneakerheads know how and where to get the latest reissues of various Air Jordans, the newest "Space Jam: A New Legacy"-inspired Nikes from LeBron James, and a relaunched Adidas D Rose 1 from Chicago hoop legend Derrick Rose. The positive feedback Alston got from users in person and on the app left him and his Kickstroid co-founder and college classmate, Nicco Adams, inspired. This weekend on their app, which launched in January 2020, they're tracking to see how the Nike "LeBron 9 Big Bang 2022" reissue will fare as this year's NBA All-Star Game is being held in Cleveland, James' former stomping ground. They say the shoe, with a $210 retail price, has a current "hype rating" of 7.2 (out of 10), a resell value of 4.6, which they also currently estimated at $284 and could price higher.

Online dating scams are on the rise, FBI and FTC warn. Here are some red flags.
Valentine's Day is behind us, but romance scams remain alive and dwell online, with fake suitors' latest goal to get you to invest in cryptocurrency. Romance scams, in which an online scammer leads a person on with talk of love and then swindles them, do not end after the roses and chocolates are delivered. The FBI issued an alert last week about victims of romance fraud losing $1 billion in 2021. Similarly, romance scams reported to the Federal Trade Commission rose 80% in 2021, with victims losing $547 million. These numbers are likely low, both agencies said.

Can you match with a date based on conversation, not photos? Tinder rolls out 'Blind Date'
In efforts to introduce authenticity to online dating, Tinder has rolled out a new feature called "Blind Date," which pairs swipers up for a chat before they're able to view each other's profiles. "Inspired by the OG way to meet someone new, usually at the hand of a meddlesome aunt or well-meaning friend, Blind Date gives the daters of today a low-pressure way to put their personality first and find a match they truly vibe with," Tinder said. People on Tinder who try out this feature will answer a series of icebreaker questions like "It's OK to wear a shirt ____ times without washing it" and "I put ketchup on____." Based on their responses, users will get matched and see the responses of their potential match. They will then get placed in a timed chat, after which they can choose to match with the other person or not.
This TV is great for Alexa fans, not film buffs
The F20 series generally delivers decent overall picture quality, but with some small discrepancies that we didn't see from the competition in our tests. The TV's overall color production is lacking, and its tendency to overemphasize blue hues can create imbalances during low-light and highlight scenes. On the other hand, the TV's build quality and Fire TV experience are quite robust. If you're a big fan of telling Alexa what to do or vastly prefer Amazon's Fire TV platform over something like Roku TV, you may not mind these concessions in picture quality. But if you want the best picture quality in this price range (so far), alongside one of our favorite smart platforms, you should really check out the TCL 3-Series instead.

Airstream introduces camper concept that parks itself, allows off-grid travel
Airstream is testing an electric travel trailer that could go off-grid for weeks at a time, park itself into a camping spot and help propel itself down the road. The trailer, called the eStream, would be the first electric-powered camper in the U.S., according to the company. "There's nothing like it in the industry," said Bob Wheeler, CEO and president of the Jackson Center, Ohio, company. Airstream introduced the trailer at an RV show in Tampa two weeks ago. PLAY WORDLE?:This is the best starting word to use, according to a math expert The 22-foot-long trailer, in Airstream's singular "silver bullet" design, would include batteries under the floor that would propel the trailer's two wheels, significantly reducing the power required to tow the trailer.

The best Dolby Atmos soundbars of 2022
The system creates a clear and immersive experience for music as well as film and TV content. Samsung's HW-Q950A is a fully equipped solution, offering 22 drivers, multiple speakers, and 11.1.4-channel The system slots upfiring and side-firing drivers not only in the bar, but also in the wireless surround speakers, punching out enough Dolby Atmos expansion to make you question the need for discreet speaker surround sound systems at all. As noted in our Q950A review, no soundbar can deliver the full dynamics, resonance, and presence of a true multi-speaker home theater system setup. But the Q950A comes about as close as we've heard, at a more approachable price. Its reams of drivers combine for a thrilling Dolby Atmos (and DTS:X) experience that transforms your room into a "dome" of sound. The system also offers impressive musicality for such a thin device (Samsung acquired AKG for a reason).
