If Victor Frankenstein had also created a bride, mankind would have been fictionally wiped out by the competition from the pair within 4,000 years. In the novel, the creature pleads with Frankenstein to create a female partner in order to ease his loneliness and says they will live together in isolation in the wilds of South America.
