Winter is Here: But women are going to bring Summer back to Silicon Valley

This Summer will forever be known in Silicon Valley (at least for some) as "The Reckoning," the time when push came to shove, the time when people finally listened. It is a summer when Ellen Pao's trial might have gone differently and the moment when whispers that have so long plagued Silicon Valley -- whispers that anyone "in the know" was fully aware of- finally resulted in action. The reason that the shockwaves continue to reverberate about this summer's revelations is that we saw people actually making changes. In particular, we saw women put their personal careers and reputations in jeopardy to do something about a real problem. For me, it's time to stop being the woman that brushes off the instances she was asked by venture investors her age and how soon she plans on getting pregnant .
