Windows 11's built-in apps are getting quiet but welcome improvements

PCWorld

PCWorld reports on Microsoft's preview Windows 11 update that brings meaningful improvements to eight built-in apps including Calculator, Camera, Photos, and Sound Recorder. These updates address practical user needs like Calculator accuracy fixes, Camera zoom controls, Bluetooth microphone compatibility, and AI image watermarks in Photos. The enhancements demonstrate Microsoft's focus on refining the core Windows 11 experience through small but impactful application improvements. Microsoft has released a preview version of the next Windows update for members of the Windows Insider Program. It brings updates to numerous pre-installed apps, namely Calculator, Camera, Clock, Media Player, Notepad, Paint, Photos, and Sound Recorder. Even though each individual update isn't spectacular on its own, all the improvements together make the base Windows 11 experience just a little bit better.
