2019 End of Year Review: What Kinds of Conversations Do Well on Cake Right Now?

#artificialintelligence

It's a quixotic journey if you attempt to start such a conversation. In the 1980s, when video games could be played in the home for the first time, there were only a couple of game systems and most people knew of or had played all of the popular games in the arcade or at home: Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Asteroids, Pitfall, Centipede, Missile Command, Donkey Kong, etc. For the past 10 years, by contrast, there've been Smartphone games like Candy Crush, multiplayer games like WoWC, three or four home gaming systems, computer games, and single player online games. The odds of finding a dozen people to share your retro interest in a popular game from the 90's is minuscule, let alone finding enough people who've played more esoteric games like 2008's Meat Boy or its 2010 successor Super Meat Boy.
