Apple's top 2020 iPhone model may be first entire-screen device with embedded fingerprint reade
The next premium iPhone may be Apple's first phone with an entire-screen display. According to a report from LetsGoDigital which cites a Credit Suisse presentation, Apple is planning on releasing a phone without a bezel in 2020. That means the the entire front side of the device would be a screen - presumably an OLED display. It also means that Apple would be forced to make some substantive changes. Among the major changes, according to LetsGoDigital, would be getting rid of Apple's current face recognition software, Face ID and replacing it with in-display fingerprint technology.
