AI innovators to speak at Cornell BrAIn symposium Dec. 9-10
Cornell BrAIn, initiated and led by the College of Arts & Sciences, will host a two-day symposium Dec. 9-10, bringing together innovators in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and neuroscience to explore the connections being forged between neurotechnology, deep learning, natural intelligence and AI. The symposium will be from 9 a.m. Registration is required for all participants at Cornell brAIn Symposium. "Novel neurotechnologies, including some developed here at Cornell, enable researchers to record thousands of neurons at once," said event organizer Jesse Goldberg. "These complex brain signal datasets require new analytical tools, and AI researchers are now leading the way in decoding brain signals to gain insight into how thoughts, perceptions and actions are encoded. "In addition, artificial neural networks trained to move robotic limbs, understand speech, or recognize objects acquire architectures and representations also seen in real brains.
