What is WhatsApp Chatbot
WhatsApp has just announced that 200 million people use its messaging service to send money to each other. This is only the latest product launched by the Facebook-owned company -- which already offers free calls and texts -- and feels like a natural extension of it. But it didn't exist three years ago and there was not a lot of evidence for WhatsApp's potential to become a financial services company at all until it launched Money Transfer. It's an app that lets registered users send free text messages to people in their phone contacts, and vice-versa. The catch is that you can also register your phone number with WhatsApp so that other WhatsApp users can send you messages -- even if you haven't given them your number.
