MIT researchers develop chip faster than Artificial Intelligence neural networks
Everyday, the envelope is being pushed a little bit further on what artificial intelligence (AI) will eventually be like. At the end, will it just be algorithms--of course, of increasing complexity--leading to an outcome, or will there be a fully functional, artificial brain? No one's going to give you a definitive answer now. But what you will be told is that there is work going on at fantastic speed and at multiple levels of complexity. One segment of work in AI is on artificial neural networks--AI that operate (in a very rudimentary manner) how a human brain would.
