Our AI children are growing up. What kind of parents will we be?

After my first couple of months studying artificial intelligence, I started saying "I know why the robots in Terminator want to kill us all. After all, undergraduate AI studies last century consisted of'playing tic tac toe'. The idea that artificial intelligence would ever truly compete with humans was absurd.
