Getting the feels: Should AI have empathy?

The challenge will be to try not to overstep what we're trying to achieve. If you can start by understanding the context of one individual and how that works, then you can start multiplying that out. But don't over-expect right now, because the machines aren't able to do it. And the more important thing right now is to learn as we go. David DeLallo: While we didn't quite solve the data set issue, we did come to the realization that there's an element of empathy that's extremely effective and was achievable to a degree in computers several decades ago.
