What Should Governments do about AI?

In order to answer some of these questions, the OECD held a conference last week on AI. Government and industry representatives, AI academics and others met to review the state of AI and pose the question of what governments could and should do, in creating policies to take advantage of the benefits of AI whilst minimising the risks. The first thing that became clear is that the focus of discussion was mainly on machine learning and in particular, deep learning.
