Last week the online publishing website Wattpad announced it was making its debut into the physical book world with its own direct publishing division, Wattpad Books. The company already picked six debut stories to bring to print in 2019, with the help of its Story DNA Machine Learning technology. Unlike past books from Wattpad that have been published via other publishers, Wattpad Books will be its own direct division. Wattpad partnered with Macmillan in the United States and Raincoast Books in Canada to help distribute their books across North America; all books will be available as paperback or e-books, and a few will get hardcover publication.
