Secure Routing Protocol To Mitigate Attacks By Using Blockchain Technology In Manet

MANET is a collection of mobile nodes that communicate through wireless networks as they move from one point to another. MANET is an infrastructure-less network with a changeable topology; as a result, it is very susceptible to attacks. MANET attack prevention represents a serious difficulty. Malicious network nodes are the source of network-based attacks. In a MANET, attacks can take various forms, and each one alters the network's operation in its unique way. In general, attacks can be separated into two categories: those that target the data traffic on a network and those that target the control traffic. This article explains the many sorts of assaults, their impact on MANET, and the MANET-based defence measures that are currently in place. The suggested SRA that employs blockchain technology (SRABC) protects MANET from attacks and authenticates nodes. The secure routing algorithm (SRA) proposed by blockchain technology safeguards control and data flow against threats. This is achieved by generating a Hash Function for every transaction. We will begin by discussing the security of the MANET. This article's second section explores the role of blockchain in MANET security. In the third section, the SRA is described in connection with blockchain. In the fourth phase, PDR and Throughput are utilised to conduct an SRA review using Blockchain employing PDR and Throughput. The results suggest that the proposed technique enhances MANET security while concurrently decreasing delay. The performance of the proposed technique is analysed and compared to the routing protocols Q-AODV and DSR.


Discovering Attention-Based Genetic Algorithms via Meta-Black-Box Optimization

Genetic algorithms constitute a family of black-box optimization algorithms, which take inspiration from the principles of biological evolution. While they provide a general-purpose tool for optimization, their particular instantiations can be heuristic and motivated by loose biological intuition. In this work we explore a fundamentally different approach: Given a sufficiently flexible parametrization of the genetic operators, we discover entirely new genetic algorithms in a data-driven fashion. More specifically, we parametrize selection and mutation rate adaptation as cross- and self-attention modules and use Meta-Black-Box-Optimization to evolve their parameters on a set of diverse optimization tasks. The resulting Learned Genetic Algorithm outperforms state-of-the-art adaptive baseline genetic algorithms and generalizes far beyond its meta-training settings. The learned algorithm can be applied to previously unseen optimization problems, search dimensions & evaluation budgets. We conduct extensive analysis of the discovered operators and provide ablation experiments, which highlight the benefits of flexible module parametrization and the ability to transfer (`plug-in') the learned operators to conventional genetic algorithms.


A Reinforcement Learning-assisted Genetic Programming Algorithm for Team Formation Problem Considering Person-Job Matching

An efficient team is essential for the company to successfully complete new projects. To solve the team formation problem considering person-job matching (TFP-PJM), a 0-1 integer programming model is constructed, which considers both person-job matching and team members' willingness to communicate on team efficiency, with the person-job matching score calculated using intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. Then, a reinforcement learning-assisted genetic programming algorithm (RL-GP) is proposed to enhance the quality of solutions. The RL-GP adopts the ensemble population strategies. Before the population evolution at each generation, the agent selects one from four population search modes according to the information obtained, thus realizing a sound balance of exploration and exploitation. In addition, surrogate models are used in the algorithm to evaluate the formation plans generated by individuals, which speeds up the algorithm learning process. Afterward, a series of comparison experiments are conducted to verify the overall performance of RL-GP and the effectiveness of the improved strategies within the algorithm. The hyper-heuristic rules obtained through efficient learning can be utilized as decision-making aids when forming project teams. This study reveals the advantages of reinforcement learning methods, ensemble strategies, and the surrogate model applied to the GP framework. The diversity and intelligent selection of search patterns along with fast adaptation evaluation, are distinct features that enable RL-GP to be deployed in real-world enterprise environments.


Don't Bet on Luck Alone: Enhancing Behavioral Reproducibility of Quality-Diversity Solutions in Uncertain Domains

Quality-Diversity (QD) algorithms are designed to generate collections of high-performing solutions while maximizing their diversity in a given descriptor space. However, in the presence of unpredictable noise, the fitness and descriptor of the same solution can differ significantly from one evaluation to another, leading to uncertainty in the estimation of such values. Given the elitist nature of QD algorithms, they commonly end up with many degenerate solutions in such noisy settings. In this work, we introduce Archive Reproducibility Improvement Algorithm (ARIA); a plug-and-play approach that improves the reproducibility of the solutions present in an archive. We propose it as a separate optimization module, relying on natural evolution strategies, that can be executed on top of any QD algorithm. Our module mutates solutions to (1) optimize their probability of belonging to their niche, and (2) maximize their fitness. The performance of our method is evaluated on various tasks, including a classical optimization problem and two high-dimensional control tasks in simulated robotic environments. We show that our algorithm enhances the quality and descriptor space coverage of any given archive by at least 50%.


Designing Application-Specific Neural Networks Using the Genetic Algorithm

We present a general and systematic method for neural network design based on the genetic algorithm. The technique works in conjunction with network learning rules, addressing aspects of the network's gross architecture, connectivity, and learning rule parameters. Networks can be optimiled for various application(cid:173) specific criteria, such as learning speed, generalilation, robustness and connectivity. We describe a prototype system, NeuroGENESYS, that employs the backpropagation learning rule. Experiments on several small problems have been conducted.


Predicting Weather Using a Genetic Memory: A Combination of Kanerva's Sparse Distributed Memory with Holland's Genetic Algorithms

Kanerva's sparse distributed memory (SDM) is an associative-memo(cid:173) ry model based on the mathematical properties of high-dimensional binary address spaces. Holland's genetic algorithms are a search tech(cid:173) nique for high-dimensional spaces inspired by evolutionary processes of DNA. "Genetic Memory" is a hybrid of the above two systems, in which the memory uses a genetic algorithm to dynamically recon(cid:173) figure its physical storage locations to reflect correlations between the stored addresses and data. For example, when presented with raw weather station data, the Genetic Memory discovers specific fea(cid:173) tures in the weather data which correlate well with upcoming rain, and reconfigures the memory to utilize this information effectively. This architecture is designed to maximize the ability of the system to scale-up to handle real-world problems.


Using Genetic Algorithms to Improve Pattern Classification Performance

Genetic algorithms were used to select and create features and to select reference exemplar patterns for machine vision and speech pattern classi(cid:173) fication tasks. For a complex speech recognition task, genetic algorithms required no more computation time than traditional approaches to feature selection but reduced the number of input features required by a factor of five (from 153 to 33 features). On a difficult artificial machine-vision task, genetic algorithms were able to create new features (polynomial functions of the original features) which reduced classification error rates from 19% to almost 0%. Neural net and k nearest neighbor (KNN) classifiers were unable to provide such low error rates using only the original features. Ge(cid:173) netic algorithms were also used to reduce the number of reference exemplar patterns for a KNN classifier.


When will a Genetic Algorithm Outperform Hill Climbing

We analyze a simple hill-climbing algorithm (RMHC) that was pre(cid:173) viously shown to outperform a genetic algorithm (GA) on a simple "Royal Road" function. We then analyze an "idealized" genetic algorithm (IGA) that is significantly faster than RMHC and that gives a lower bound for GA speed. We identify the features of the IGA that give rise to this speedup, and discuss how these features can be incorporated into a real GA.


Stochastic Hillclimbing as a Baseline Method for Evaluating Genetic Algorithms

We investigate the effectiveness of stochastic hillclimbing as a baseline for evaluating the performance of genetic algorithms (GAs) as combinato(cid:173) rial function optimizers. In particular, we address two problems to which GAs have been applied in the literature: Koza's ll-multiplexer problem and the jobshop problem. We demonstrate that simple stochastic hill(cid:173) climbing methods are able to achieve results comparable or superior to those obtained by the GAs designed to address these two problems. We further illustrate, in the case of the jobshop problem, how insights ob(cid:173) tained in the formulation of a stochastic hillclimbing algorithm can lead to improvements in the encoding used by a GA.


Generating Accurate and Diverse Members of a Neural-Network Ensemble

Neural-network ensembles have been shown to be very accurate classification techniques. Previous work has shown that an effec(cid:173) tive ensemble should consist of networks that are not only highly correct, but ones that make their errors on different parts of the input space as well. Most existing techniques, however, only in(cid:173) directly address the problem of creating such a set of networks. In this paper we present a technique called ADDEMUP that uses genetic algorithms to directly search for an accurate and diverse set of trained networks. ADDEMUP works by first creating an ini(cid:173) tial population, then uses genetic operators to continually create new networks, keeping the set of networks that are as accurate as possible while disagreeing with each other as much as possible.
