Is dirty data spoiling your AI progress? Inside Financial & Risk
Machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) are only as powerful as the expertise and content behind them, heightening the need for clean, organized data. Machines don't learn, they're trained. To teach a machine to learn means feeding it information in an organized and structured manner. Ultimately, the success of any machine learning capability directly links back to getting the training data right from the start. Get this wrong and you have the classic situation: garbage in, garbage out.
Machine Learning Is Making SEO Marketing More Human
You can't ignore the parallels between our reality and the realities of so many novels that were written decades ago. If you haven't thought it, you've likely seen it: 1984 is flying off the shelves. Stories about how Infinite Jest predicted the smartphone, Netflix, our current president (and more!) abound. So, as I sit here at my desk, delving into research, getting up to speed on SEO marketing tactics, and reading story after story about chatbots, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), social media tools, and automation, I really can't help but daydream--albeit fitfully--about the future. Here's what's coming: As marketers, we all respect the value of an influencer, and we all rely on social platforms to help our brands (and ourselves) reach influencer status.
What kind of relationship will you have with your AI?
How do you actually become friends with someone? Is it a slow process of getting to know each other or an instant moment, when you just hit it off? Do we enjoy staying friends with people that have become part of our lives or sometimes, with distance, we just let them go? I was Facebook-friends with this girl Claire when I was in college and we used to discuss sci-fi movies together. Though we've lost touch, I miss the friendship we had developed over a very specific topic of conversation -- sci-fi movies.
