The Jobs That Artificial Intelligence Will Create
A new global study finds several new categories of human jobs emerging, requiring skills and training that will take many companies by surprise. The threat that automation will eliminate a broad swath of jobs across the world economy is now well established. As artificial intelligence (AI) systems become ever more sophisticated, another wave of job displacement will almost certainly occur. But here's what we've been overlooking: Many new jobs will also be created -- jobs that look nothing like those that exist today. In Accenture's global study of more than 1,000 large companies already using or testing AI and machine-learning systems, we identified the emergence of entire categories of new, uniquely human jobs.
A Free Course on Machine Learning & Data Science from Caltech
Right now, Machine Learning and Data Science are two hot topics, the subject of many courses being offered at universities today. Above, you can watch a playlist of 18 lectures from a course called Learning From Data: A Machine Learning Course, taught by Caltech's Feynman Prize-winning professor Yaser Abu-Mostafa. This is an introductory course in machine learning (ML) that covers the basic theory, algorithms, and applications. ML is a key technology in Big Data, and in many financial, medical, commercial, and scientific applications. It enables computational systems to adaptively improve their performance with experience accumulated from the observed data.

If you make a purchase by clicking one of our links, we may earn a small share of the revenue. Our picks and opinions are independent from any business incentives. Every May, college seniors prepare to say goodbye to school and hello to adulthood. Even if grads have something planned, their life for the first time is a blank slate. It can be exciting, sad, happy, scary, and bittersweet.
Neural Networks for Machine Learning Coursera
About this course: Learn about artificial neural networks and how they're being used for machine learning, as applied to speech and object recognition, image segmentation, modeling language and human motion, etc. We'll emphasize both the basic algorithms and the practical tricks needed to get them to work well. This course contains the same content presented on Coursera beginning in 2013. It is not a continuation or update of the original course. It has been adapted for the new platform. Please be advised that the course is suited for an intermediate level learner - comfortable with calculus and with experience programming (Python).
Ryskamp Learning Machine (RLM) • r/artificial
I want to share our new project in hopes that you will give us some constructive feedback. We just recently open-sourced and hosted on Github. The RLM is a ML engine that incorporates concepts of an artificial neural network to solve a wide variety of problems such as categorization, reinforced learning problems, etc.. What makes the RLM different to traditional ML is the core algorithm relies on logic instead of advanced mathematics which means you don't need to be an expert in math to use the RLM. For more details, please visit our site or you may read this technical overview. I hope you find it interesting and apply it on one of your AI endeavors in the future and let us know how it went.
Artificial Intelligence A-Z : Learn How To Build An AI
Artificial Intelligence is reshaping your relationship with the world and it's just getting started. Tesla's autopilot, job automation, the products you'stumble upon' online - it's entering our daily lives, careers, businesses, even our homes with such blistering pace you probably haven't even realized it. There's a reason Andrew Ng, the founder of $100m company Coursera said "Artificial Intelligence is the new electricity" - soon it'll be as much a part of your daily life as your smartphone, except without the off button. But here's where things get really crazy. This time round, the revolution will see machines taking on tasks no human intellect could ever perform.
11 technologies developers should explore now
New and evolving technologies are rapidly reshaping how we work--offering creative opportunities for developers who are willing to pivot and adopt new skills. We took a look at 11 tech trends experts say are likely to disrupt current IT approaches and create demand for engineers with an eye on the future. Future opportunities for developers are emerging from a confluence of cutting-edge technologies, such as AI, VR. augmented reality, IoT, and cloud technology ... and, of course, dealing with the security issues that are evolving from these convergences. If you're interested in expanding your developer's toolkit, check out these trending domains--and our tips on how to get ahead by getting started with them. After tens of millions of connected devices were hijacked last year, even casual observers could see that unprotected IoT devices create nightmarish security problems.
Pokémon Go Might Be Used As A Common Core Learning Tool In Classrooms
Pokémon Go is a very popular game with kids and now it could become a learning tool. The game, which incentivizes players to get up and about by letting them capture and battle virtual pocket monsters, might be used as a classroom learning tool, in accordance with common core learning standards, as per Emily Howell, an assistant professor at the Iowa State University School of Education. "It is important to give students authentic choices that really have meaning in their lives. We need to encourage them to develop questions, research the answers and then share that information in writing," Howell said in the press release. Howell is working with school teachers on the use of Pokémon Go as a digital tool to help students learn.
