How to Learn Python For Free At Your Home - Statanalytica

#artificialintelligence

Python is an object oriented programming language. It is considered as one of the major languages because all the big companies like Google, YouTube, etc. use this programming language. So, it has become a need of an hour to learn Python for programmers and developers. This is why there are so many people who are learning Python for different reasons like web development or machine learning and so on. So they always search for tips and guidelines for learning python.

How to prepare for a future in which creativity is a workforce survival skill

#artificialintelligence

In 2018, artificial intelligence expert Kai-Fu Lee estimated that AI and automation would take over half of human work in 15 years. The pandemic has likely accelerated that timeline significantly. Since the virus struck, "I haven't talked to anyone who's not doing automation as a way to become more competitive, and more resilient," IDC analyst Maureen Fleming told Wired. Lee also predicted that creative jobs would survive automation because creativity is a uniquely human trait that no algorithm can replace. And the pandemic is accelerating the importance of creativity, too. For instance, with in-person photo shoots largely impossible, companies like Ben & Jerry's and Lowe's are using 3D rendering tools to create assets for marketing campaigns and e-commerce sites that are even more vital now that foot traffic to brick-and-mortar stores is way down.

Solving a few AI problems with Python: Part 1

#artificialintelligence

In this blog we shall discuss about a few problems in artificial intelligence and their python implementations. The problems discussed here appeared as programming assignments in the edX course CS50's Introduction to Artificial Intelligence with Python (HarvardX:CS50 AI). The problem statements are taken from the course itself. Write a program that determines how many "degrees of separation" apart two actors are. According to the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game, anyone in the Hollywood film industry can be connected to Kevin Bacon within six steps, where each step consists of finding a film that two actors both starred in.

10 women leading the way in data science

#artificialintelligence

There are many excellent women working in the data science industry today. But we've rounded up a list of 10, with a mixture of both industry leaders and ones to watch. The data science industry is thriving and as AI and machine learning continue to evolve, so too will the role of the data scientist. While this may create new and exciting opportunities in tech, there is still a gender gap in this sector that needs to be addressed. A report from Boston Consulting Group earlier this year suggested that only about 15pc to 22pc of all professionals in data science-related roles are women.

AI Tutoring An intelligent tutoring system is a computer system that aims to provide immediate and customized instruction or feedback to learners, usually without requiring intervention from a human teacher. ITSs have the common goal of enabling learning in a meaningful and effective manner by using a variety of computing technologies. There are many examples of ITSs being used in both formal education and professional settings in which they have demonstrated their capabilities and limitations. There is a close relationship between intelligent tutoring, cognitive learning theories and design; and there is ongoing research to improve the effectiveness of ITS. An ITS typically aims to replicate the demonstrated benefits of one-to-one, personalized tutoring, in contexts where students would otherwise have access to one-to-many instruction from a single teacher (e.g., classroom lectures), or no teacher at all (e.g., online homework). ITSs are often designed with the goal of providing access to high quality education to each and every student.

'Telepresence' robots are making virtual school feel a little more like real school

Washington Post - Technology News

Zach uses a robot called a Swivl; Thomas uses one called an Owl. Both are types of telepresence robots or smart videoconferencing computers with microphones and speakers attached. Others stand in the classroom or even roll around. This technology has become increasingly popular in K-12 classrooms during the pandemic thanks to hybrid or blended learning models, where some students are in the classroom while others watch from home. The big difference between a robot and a conventional camera is that the robot follows action and sound -- spinning as much as 360 degrees, so students at home can see more than a static shot of the classroom.

First of a kind in-vitro 3D neural tissue model

#artificialintelligence

The first author, Gelson Pagan-Diaz-Diaz, likens the produced tissue to a computer processing unit, which provided the basic principle to today's supercomputer. Pagan-Diaz is a graduate student in Prof. Rashid Bashir's group in the Department of Bioengineering at the Grainger College of Engineering. Bashir is also the Dean of the College. "Being able to form 3-dimensional tissue consisting of neurons can give us the ability to develop tissue models for drug screening or processing units for biological computers," Pagan-Diaz said. The brain is challenging to study in an actual person, but being able to understand how these networks develop using a 3D model outside the body promises to give researchers a new tool to better understand how it works.
