There's no "Like" button, but if there was, consider it pressed. I've been working on a few algorthims for cross item comparision, where if click me is blue and banner is X size and the different combinations I want to test, So basically creating test sets over individual items which proves more coherent with web design. So I am more testing which random style sheet / page design still randomly provided and measured seems to get the most time, clicks, navigation, etc and pull all of those factors in for a scorecard I know seems like a bunch of work but once you have the scripts it works for any page / site you build from then on and having it automated saves so much time down the road, and talk about great stats to provide to your clients.

Intuition helps humans beat computers in thorny physics game
BERLIN – Computers may have us beat at chess and checkers, but new research suggests our brains still have an edge when it comes to solving certain tricky problems thanks to a very human trait: intuition. Scientists in Denmark have found that people who played a game that simulated a complex calculation in physics sometimes did better than their silicon rivals. "The big surprise we had was that some of the players actually had solutions that were of high quality and of shorter duration than any computer algorithms could find," said Jacob Friis Sherson, a physicist at Aarhus University who co-wrote the study, published Wednesday in the journal Nature. Experts say the results could advance the quest to develop effective quantum computers, something most major universities and several tech companies are working on as they seek to accelerate processing power. Such computers use individual atoms to store information and it's hoped they could one day outperform even the fastest conventional silicon-based supercomputers.

A recent international team believe that a simple crossword puzzle can help us to develop robots with even greater language processing capabilities. Their recent study hypothesizes that if we can develop machines capable of understanding crossword clues, then it will go a long way to helping them understanding the complexities of human language.
Global education experts urge Japan to look beyond rote learning

But on a global level, the educator, who teaches at the Kogakuin junior high and high schools in Hachioji, western Tokyo, is considered ahead of the game and has won recognition for his efforts to promote global citizenship. His methods may provide clues as to where education should be heading in Japan, a nation often criticized for focusing more on cramming knowledge rather than encouraging critical thinking. At the Global Education and Skills Forum in Dubai, which ran for two days from March 12, Takahashi gave a presentation as one of the 10 finalists for the Global Teacher Prize, known in the industry as the Nobel Prize in education. The event was attended by around 1,600 people from 110 nations.

NEW YORK – A paralyzed 24-year-old man has regained some use of his right hand, controlling it with signals relayed from electronic sensors in his brain. Ian Burkhart of Dublin, Ohio, can grasp a bottle, pour its contents into a jar, pick up a stick and stir the liquid. He can grab a credit card and swipe it through a reader. He can move individual fingers and hold a toothbrush. But he can do these things only for a few hours a week, in a laboratory where he is hooked up to an experimental device that interprets his brain signals and stimulates his muscles with electrodes on his forearm.

Osaka Institute of Technology develop new laser-driven robot to deliver drugs faster
A laser engine could someday allow tiny robots to pull 150 times their own weight. At least, that's the implication of new research that has shown how lasers can give tiny drops of water superpowers. The laser technology could someday be used by scientists to deliver drugs to specific areas of the body, scientists claim. Scientists coated millimetre-sized drops of water in a nanometre-scale powder of polypyrrole, a water-repelling plastic which heats up when illuminated. New Scientist reports that the powder coating turned the drop into a liquid marble, with the fluid contained inside.

Researchers discovered seven month old's have basic social skills - and can already understand what their parents are doing. It is the first time babies have been shown to not only observe, but understand social interactions.
