Numerous rumours have suggested production is starting on the wireless charger – which is intended to allow people to charge their iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods all at the same time – and that it could be released this year. The charger had been feared dead after it was unveiled in September 2017 but then hardly mentioned again. Late last year, Apple removed almost every mention of AirPower from its website, leading to fears it was being quietly erased from history. But the name still appeared in some unexpected places: the user guides for the latest iPhones make reference to it, some Apple job postings appear to suggest it is still being worked on, and one version of Apple's website made reference to it in reference to the company's new battery cases. Hyderabad, Jan 20: With the growing demand and applicability of artificial intelligence, Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad is set to launch a full-fledged BTech program in AI starting from the academic year 2019-2020. It has become the first Indian Educational Institution to offer such a full-fledged B.Tech. Admissions to the course will be accepted based on the JEE Advanced score. With this, IIT Hyderabad becomes the first Indian educational institution to offer a full-fledged BTech programme in AI and reportedly the third institute globally after Carnegie Mellon University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the US. The course will reportedly only take in only 20 students.

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) on Friday launched a start-up to prepare the workforce for the advent of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) age by training students at nominal costs. The start-up – 'PadhAI' – offers an affordable hands-on course on'Deep Learning' which is the most successful sub-field of AI. It is open to all students, faculty and professionals with a basic background in mathematics and Python. The fee for students and faculty is Rs 1,000 and for working professionals Rs 5,000. The start-up will also create AI-driven apps by collaborating with Small and Medium Enterprises and the industry and generate value for the Indian economy.
