Legal AI efficacy report published by Blickstein Group cuts through market hype in industry's first independent review of AI-Powered Legal Tools . Blickstein Group has launched its Legal AI Efficacy Report, an independent analysis that evaluates the effectiveness of 50 AI-powered solutions currently available across eight different legal tech categories. The report was launched at the legal tech gathering ILTACON in Orlando, USA. Based on research conducted over the past six months, the firms says the report provides the market with an unbiased, holistic look at AI products on the market, so that corporate law department and law firm leaders can make educated decisions based on their business goals. They stress the report is written for user, with no vendors paying to be included or to influence the analysis.

In collaboration with Facebook, Hyderabad state-backed T-Hub has shortlisted 10 artificial intelligence startups for the second edition of their India Innovation Accelerator programme. The programme aims to support the growth of startups focused on finding solutions for social challenges using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in areas of good health and wellbeing, agriculture, clean water and sanitation, decent work and economic opportunity, industry, innovation & infrastructure, climate change, and peace and justice & strong institutions. The final cohort of 10 AI startups has now been selected from over 140 applications received from across India. The participants were reviewed based on quality of technology-based solutions, product/solution market readiness and social impact among other relevant parameters. The value of this wasted resource is worth over a trillion dollars. The causes of the aforementioned food wastage are numerous and occur at various stages of the supply chain--handling and storage, to name a few--but primarily due to absence in coordination among suppliers, retailers, and buyers. Also, ineffective food demand forecasts are one of the major causes of food waste even before you buy it in a store. Scientists have discovered a possible driving force behind some of nature's most beautiful displays paving the way for more complex and autonomous AI. Researchers wanted to replicate the basic mechanisms behind some of the most highly organised patterns seen in the animal kingdom such as huge swirling starling murmurations and immense twisting herring shoals. Groups like these, consisting in many cases of hundreds of thousands of individual animals, appear to move as if compelled by a collective intelligence, said lead author Dr Marco Mazza, a Lecturer in Applied Mathematics, at Loughborough University. But in reality, could be down to basic survival instincts. "The beauty of nature has inspired artists, philosophers, and scientists for as long as we can remember," said Dr Mazza.

Five years ago, Hyderabad resident Tulasi Mathi was forced to quit her job as a maths teacher due to health issues and the birth of her two children. But today, the 29-year-old does data labelling and makes up to Rs 15,000 a month. The money isn't much but it's more than she made as a teacher, and enough to pay her kids' school fees and her own expenses.She chanced on data labelling work through a YouTube video in 2017. Today, she scans videos and marks and labels objects encountered by self-driving cars. Her output is used to train artificial intelligence algorithms powering such cars. All Mathi knows is that it makes her life easier.
