With the advent of AI and voice activated technology, marketers still struggling to create content that performs

With 50% of all consumers expecting to use AI and voice-activated technology in the coming years, B2B and B2C marketers must be preparing to adopt new technologies and content development strategies in a post mobile world, that includes voice search, artificial intelligence (AI) and holistic strategies that integrate SEO, SEM, social media and content marketing. "Marketers looking to prepare to merge into an AI–first world are going to need to begin by making sure they have the same consistent message across devices, at the very least," said Michel Kant, SEO manager of Staples Europe. "If you don't have that in the near future, it will be like not having a mobile optimized website or good content marketing strategy now. It will be very costly to step up that pace." BrightEdge surveyed 252 digital marketers at Fortune 500 brands that represent a split of B2B and B2C companies over a one-month period in April and May of 2017 and found that roughly 66% of marketers having no plans to begin preparing for voice search.


Watch SpaceX launch and land a reused Falcon 9 rocket

Today, SpaceX will hopefully launch and land a Falcon 9 rocket that it's already flown to space. The launch window opens at 2:10 PM and lasts for two hours; launch time is currently scheduled for 3:10 PM ET. You can livestream the launch, with commentary, at SpaceX's website. This mission is called BulgariaSat-1 and will carry Bulgaria's first geostationary communications satellite into a high geostationary orbit around the Earth. It's launching from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, and a drone ship called "Of Course I Still Love You" will be waiting in the Atlantic Ocean for the Falcon 9's first-stage landing. If things don't go as planned, there's another launch window tomorrow at 2:10 PM ET.

This biologically inspired approach, they hope, could help robots navigate dynamic environments without requiring advanced, costly sensors and computationally intensive algorithms.

Google's DeepMind Gets Access to NHS Patient Data; Controversy Ensues

Alphabet Inc. (GOOG) subsidiary Google's artificial intelligence company DeepMind Health has signed an agreement with a hospital that is part of the U.K.'s National Health Service (NHS) network to deploy Streams, an app that monitors critical indicators of a patient's health and alerts doctors. This is the second such deal signed by DeepMind this year. Earlier, the company signed a similar agreement for patient data with three hospitals that operate under the NHS umbrella. As part of the agreements, DeepMind receives access to important patient data and medical histories. News reports have alleged that DeepMind obtained the data without explicit consent from the affected patients.


Tesla Autopilot vs. Nissan ProPilot: Self-Driving Technologies Compared

Nissan's next-generation Leaf EV will be its first car featuring its ProPilot driver-assist self-driving technology. The system will be activated by a button on the steering wheel and will control acceleration, braking and steering. The ProPilot system consists of a suite of assists, semi-autonomous functions and is designed mainly for highways, and not for busy city traffic. The company has been testing the system in Japan for some time and now and it is ready for a rollout in North America and Europe. "In the coming years, Nissan's ProPilot technology will offer increasing levels of autonomy, with the system eventually able to navigate city intersections. Set to help make driving more secure and more enjoyable, ProPilot Assist is part of Nissan Intelligent Mobility, the company's blueprint for transforming how cars are driven, powered and integrated into society," the company said in its press release Thursday.


Amazon's delivery drones could soon live in giant hives

While you might expect a hive to be full of bees, a new patent filed by Amazon suggests that giant versions of the structures could soon be used to house drones. A patent published today shows a nine-story hive with space for hundreds of drones. While Amazon has not said when, or if, it plans to create the hives, the patent suggests that they could be used in'downtown districts' or'urban areas' where there is little space to build outwards. The hive is designed to accomodate landing and takeoff of unmanned aerial vehicles in urban settings.
