Technology & Recruiting In 2025 By Adhiraj Dey - ITC
Attracting the best talent is the ultimate motive for recruiting professionals. In discussion with Mr. Adhiraj, Vice President (HR), ITC, we at CareerBuilder were acquainted with some innovative thoughts on how technology and recruiting would take place in 2015. "As technology continues to develop, can we assume that businesses will still be using recruiters 10 years from now? There are grounds for doubt, but it seems on the contrary that recruiters will have a highly strategic role to play in attracting and motivating the best talents for the projects, management and operations of the organizations they serve. One thing is certain, however: the digital transformation that began in 1995 with the advent of the Internet compels us to rethink everything.
iPhone has the worst antenna signal, according to major Nordic study of call quality
Nasa has announced that it has found evidence of flowing water on Mars. Scientists have long speculated that Recurring Slope Lineae -- or dark patches -- on Mars were made up of briny water but the new findings prove that those patches are caused by liquid water, which it has established by finding hydrated salts. Several hundred camped outside the London store in Covent Garden. The 6s will have new features like a vastly improved camera and a pressure-sensitive "3D Touch" display
Warner Bros reports its OWN site as illegal and asks Google to remove it from search results
Warner Brothers has taken its piracy policing to the extreme by reporting its own website. Warner also asked Google to remove links to film streaming sites run by Amazon and Sky, as well online film reference site IMDB. Warner regularly reports pirated content to the search engine company, but the latest round of take-down requests appears to be full of legitimate websites, including its own. The official Warner Bros web page for 2008's The Dark Knight was among the URLs that Google was asked to remove. Several requests were also made in relation to the 1999 sci-fi film The Matrix, again including Warner's official site for the movie.
The Next President Will Decide the Fate of Killer Robots--and the Future of War
The next president will have a range of issues on their plate, from how to deal with growing tensions with China and Russia, to an ongoing war against ISIS. But perhaps the most important decision they will make for overall human history is what to do about autonomous weapons systems (AWS), aka "killer robots." The new president will literally have no choice. It is not just that the technology is rapidly advancing, but because of a ticking time bomb buried in US policy on the issue. In 2012, the Obama administration created Department of Defense Directive 3000.09, which sets policy on how the Pentagon handles the questions of this new technology.
Meet Charpu, the Drone-Racing Megastar Who Doesn't Feel Like Racing
A drone-racing ace charts his own course as the sport goes mainstream. Carlos Puertolas maneuvers an X-shaped drone high above a grassy field in a Los Angeles park, then spins it sharply to face the ground and sends it full-throttle into a suicide dive. He takes his hand off a radio controller and peels off a pair of opaque white goggles. Puertolas is an aloof but unassuming Spaniard who stands about 5?8?, with a tuft of gray in his bangs and a rough chinstrap beard. In his day job he's a top animator at DreamWorks, but he's in this park testing a model designed especially for him by the Florida drone-kit company Lumenier.
Automated War
Robots in Isaac Asimov's science fiction classic I, Robot are capable of independent thought, judgment, and action. His story begins when one overrides a direct verbal instruction and saves the life of an imperiled adult instead of an ostensibly doomed child. Some would find that choice morally reprehensible, and others would accept it because of the probabilistic outcomes; the robot determined that the child was far less likely to survive than the adult and made its own decision. Autonomous systems are already in trusted control of many automated services in health, transportation, and digital communications. Although today their reactive duties are often narrowly defined--such as re routing Internet traffic or forward -collision alerts systems in automobiles--increasingly, they will be capable of robustly detecting anomalous or potentially threatening behavior with greater speed and accuracy than expert humans.

iPhone 7 will be compatible with Apple Pencil, remarks from CEO Tim Cook could suggest

Computers could offer praise and reassurance when they detect you getting stressed
For most of us computers are source of stress as we get error messages, spinning beach balls and random crashes blighting our use of them. But they could soon help us cope better in stressful or emotionally difficult situations by providing a few words of support. Researchers are developing an algorithm that aims to offer praise and reassurance just when people need it. Computers are more often a source of stress, but they could soon be offering emotional support and words of encouragement to their users. Using a computer for long periods of your day can damage your mental health, according to one of the biggest studies into the hazards of modern office work practices.
Laundry detergent Top honored as essential historical material
The National Museum of Nature and Science on Tuesday added Lion Corp.'s enzyme-based laundry detergent Top to a list of important historical materials that have had an impact on Japanese lives and culture. Top, which first hit the market in 1979, was among 16 items honored with the designation by the Tokyo museum as "Essential Historical Materials for Science and Technology." With its protein-removing enzymes, the laundry detergent has been popular for its cleaning performance and environmentally friendly formula. Among the other products chosen to make the annual list this year were NEC Corp.'s PC-9801 16-bit personal computer, which debuted in 1982, and the Yagi-Uda antenna, the world's first directional ultrashort-wave antenna that is now used throughout the world in radios and televisions. The antenna, commonly known as the Yagi antenna, derives its name from one of its developers, Dr. Hidetsugu Yagi of Tohoku University.
