Physicists use AI to hunt for UAPs and UFOs

Popular Science

Breakthroughs, discoveries, and DIY tips sent every weekday. An international team of physicists has developed a new methodology to aid NASA and other government agencies in their ongoing investigations into unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs). The result is a novel strategy integrating a specially designed artificial intelligence program that was partially inspired by the physicists' own hunt for elusive dark matter. More popularly known as unidentified flying objects or UFOs, UAPs aren't necessarily considered as outlandish as they were decades ago. Setting aside the various theories that point to mysterious visitors from another planet, analysis increasingly centers on determining more worldly explanations.

UFO crashes into US Air Force fighter jet over Arizona during terrifying encounter

Daily Mail - Science & tech

A UFO slammed into a US fighter jet over Arizona, cracking the canopy protecting the pilot, and forcing the 63 million plane to land, new reports have revealed. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the F-16 Viper fighter jet was hit by an'orange-white UAS' - which stands for uncrewed aerial system, better known as a drone - on January 19, 2023. Within a day of this collision, there were three more unidentified aircraft sightings over the Air Force's Barry Goldwater Range, where the fighter was damaged, the documents stated. Barry Goldwater Range is an expanse of desert along the Arizona-Mexico border where the military practices air-to-air and air-to-ground combat. The FAA's report of the F-16 collision revealed that the fighter was flying in restricted airspace near Gila Bend, Arizona, when it was hit by the object in the rear of the canopy, the glass bubble which protects the pilot.

New Jersey drones are BACK as interactive map shows activity ramping up... after Trump promised to release truth

Daily Mail - Science & tech

An interactive map of UFO sightings has revealed shockingly new reports of drones in New Jersey and other states, suggesting this bizarre mystery is still unfolding. The map, created by the UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) tracking website Enigma Labs, shows hundreds of sightings logged as recently as January 7 in multiple Northeastern states. The mysterious drones along the East Coast appeared in November, with 22 people issuing reports to Enigma starting on the 20th. But that number dramatically increased to 347 by December 31. A drone ban was issued from December 18 to January 17, during which Enigma labs said the average number of reported sightings dropped by 43 percent.

Former defense official makes earth-shattering UFO revelation as unexplained drones leave millions on edge

FOX News

Testimony and several reports have exposed unidentified flying object (UFO) sightings across the country amid the national attention on apparent drone observations over recent weeks. Luiz Elizondo, the former head of the Defense Department's Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, and other witnesses testified before Congress last month about an alleged government group "hid[ing] the fact that we are not alone in the cosmos." "I believe that we as Americans can handle the truth. And I also believe the world deserves the truth," Elizondo said, urging Congress to enact legislation protecting whistleblowers too afraid to come forward. This UFO was photographed when it hovered for 15 minutes near the Holloman Air Development Center in Alamogordo, N.M., on Dec. 16, 1957. The hearing was part of a larger effort by lawmakers to investigate UFOs, or unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAPs), and determine whether elements within the government are unlawfully withholding evidence from Congress.

NASA's UFO study recruits astronaut Scott Kelly to help explain undefined aircraft in the skies

Daily Mail - Science & tech

NASA has recruited the best of the best to unravel the mysteries of unexplained natural phenomena seen in the skies with the hopes of solving hundreds of sightings. Astronaut Scott Kelly, who is famously known for spending nearly a year in space, is one of 16 team members who will comb through unclassified data of UFOs to help the space agency'craft scientific conclusions' about what is actually occurring. The independent study is set to launch Monday and will carry on for the next nine months - the team is expected to share their findings with the public in mid-2023. The program, announced in June, follows the first US congressional hearings in 50 years that revealed videos showing 144 'unidentified aerial phenomena' seen by military personnel since 2004. The team, which includes scientists, data and artificial intelligence specialists and aerospace safety experts, will identify how data gathered by civilian government entities, commercial data, and data from other sources can potentially be analyzed to shed light on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP).

Pentagon is creating an official office to investigate unidentified aerial phenomena

Daily Mail - Science & tech

In the wake of the woefully insufficient Pentagon report from June in which the U.S. government admitted it could not explain the vast majority of unidentified aerial phenomena, the Department of Defense is increasing its effort, creating an official group to study these events. The announcement, made late Tuesday, will see the establishment of the Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group (AOIMSG), succeeding the U.S. Navy's Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force; it will be part of the office of Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence & Security. The AOIMSG will work across the Department of Defense and the entire U.S. government'to detect, identify and attribute objects of interests in Special Use Airspace, and to assess and mitigate any associated threats to safety of flight and national security,' according to a press release issued by the DoD. The move to formally establish the office was made the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence & Security Ronald S. Moultrie, who was directed by Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks and Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines. The Pentagon is creating a group to study unidentified aerial phenomena.

Researchers will look for 'extraterrestrial technological civilizations' using AI

Daily Mail - Science & tech

An international group of researchers led by the Harvard astronomer who believes the first interstellar object discovered was a'lightsail' from another civilization have announced a new project to search for signs of'extraterrestrial technological civilizations' (ETCs) in space. Known as the Galileo Project, the researchers - led by Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb - will use artificial intelligence and look at data from existing and future astronomical surveys and high-resolution telescopes. The project will have three objectives: to search for unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), other interstellar objects like'Oumuamua and satellites created by ETCs. A new project will search for'extraterrestrial technological civilizations' in space has been announced. Pictured is the famous Tic-Tac footage, which has been previously acknowledged as real by the Navy.
