OpenAI became the nexus of the technology world in 2023
Let's take a look at how OpenAI and its chatbot have impacted consumer electronics in 2023 and where they might lead the industry in the new year. "Meteoric" doesn't do justice to OpenAI's rise this year. The company released ChatGPT on November 30, 2022. Within five days, the program had passed 1 million users; by January, 100 million people a month were logging on to use it. It took Facebook four and a half years to reach those sorts of engagement numbers.

Revolutionizing IoT Through AI: Why They're Perfect Together
The IoT global market revenue will reach approximately USD 1.1 trillion by 2025, predicts IDC. IDC also says that the global IoT connections will rise with a 17 percent Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) from 7 billion to 25 billion between the years 2017 to 2025. Back in 2018, Sophia a humanoid robot performed a duet with Jimmy Fallon at his show. This performance left the audience awestruck. The entire world was spellbound of how Sophia (humanoid robot) could showcase human emotion while performing the song.
Bias in Technology
Organizations like Code.org are working to expand access to computer science and increase participation by women and underrepresented students of color. The technology world has a diversity problem. A recent U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) report found that the high-tech industry employed far fewer African-Americans, Hispanics, and women, relative to whites, Asian-Americans, and men. The difference is especially glaring in Silicon Valley. At Google and Facebook, African-Americans represent just 1% of the tech work force.
