The Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence's 2025 Spring Symposium Series was held in Dubai, UAE, May 20-May 22, 2025. There were four symposia in the spring program: AI-Driven Resilience: Building Robust, Adaptive Technologies for a Dynamic World, AI in Business: Intelligent Transformation and Management and Context-Awareness in Cyber-Physical Systems. The AI for Resilient Communities symposium explores the intersection of artificial intelligence, resilience, and adaptive technologies, highlighting AI's transformative role in helping communities navigate environmental, economic, and social uncertainties. As societies face escalating challenges--from climate crises to shifting economic landscapes--the need for resilient, adaptive systems has never been more critical. This symposium is designed to foster innovation and dialogue around creating robust communities that can withstand and adapt to crises, evolving into stronger and more resilient entities over time.

During the final half-day of the AI-HRI symposium, the community was joined by the Unifying Representations for Robot Application Development (UR-RAD) symposium attendees to discuss needs, expectations, and preferences for future gatherings like TAHRI to maintain the welcoming, inclusive, and close community that has persisted throughout the ten years of AI-HRI. The AAAI Fall Symposium Series provided an opportunity ten years ago for researchers at the intersection of the fields of AI and HRI to come together in an attempt to identify where they belong when neither field's venues seemed to provide the correct fit for their research contributions, serving as a bridge between the two areas of study. As the community met and learned from each other over the past ten iterations of the symposium, it became clearer that AI-HRI is a unique field of study that is equally important to both fields and their venues--more importantly, these gatherings fostered a strong, supportive community that recognizes the challenges that their colleagues face trying to understand AI problems in HRI domains, as well as HRI problems surfacing as AI becomes more ubiquitous in society. Everyone wanted more time in break-out discussions due to the wonderful, productive conversations and networking, which is a testament to the community's positive and comfortable engagement between both familiar and new faces. Although the tenth anniversary marked the last AI-HRI at the AAAI Fall Symposium Series, the opportunities that the venue offered have made this the beginning of a new community.

DISASTER ROBOTICS Robin R. Murphy "A thorough overview and intellectually stimulating treatment of foundational and advanced concepts by one of the pioneers in the field, this book is an authoritative reference for the library of every researcher and professional working in the area of disaster robotics." The HCOMP conference is cross-disciplinary, and invites submissions across the broad spectrum of crowdsourcing and human computation work. Human computation and crowdsourcing is unique in its direct engagement and reliance on both human-centered studies and traditional computer science. The HCOMP conference is thus aimed at promoting the scientific exchange of advances in human computation and crowdsourcing among researchers, engineers, and practitioners across a spectrum of disciplines who may otherwise not have the opportunity to hear from one another. The conference will include presentations of new research, works-in-progress, demo sessions, and invited talks.
