SpaceX launches used supply ship on used rocket for NASA
CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – SpaceX has launched a used supply ship on a used rocket to the International Space Station. The Falcon rocket blasted off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, on Monday, bearing a Dragon capsule full of food, experiments and other station goods for NASA. The Dragon and its 2,700-kilogram shipment should reach the space station Wednesday. The station astronauts will use a robot arm to grab it. It's the second trip to the orbiting lab for this particular Dragon, recycled following a visit two years ago. The Falcon's first-stage booster also flew before -- last summer.

SpaceX capsule back at space station with pre-Christmas haul
On Dec. 15, SpaceX launched the first mission to fly a reused orbital rocket and spacecraft to resupply the International Space Station. This image, taken on Dec. 12 by DigitalGlobe s GeoEye-1 satellite, shows the Falcon 9 rocket horizontal on the launch pad. CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- A recycled SpaceX capsule is back at the International Space Station, just in time for Christmas. NASA astronauts used the space station's big robot arm to grab the Dragon capsule out of orbit Sunday. It's the second visit for this particular supply ship, which made a delivery for NASA back in 2015 as well, and only the second time a Dragon has had a repeat performance 250 miles up.

Astronauts get ice cream, make own pizzas after delivery rocket docks
CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Astronauts got a mouth-watering haul with Tuesday's Earth-to-space delivery -- pizza and ice cream. A commercial supply ship arrived at the International Space Station two days after launching from Virginia. Besides NASA equipment and experiments, the Orbital ATK capsule holds chocolate and vanilla ice cream for the six station astronauts, as well as make-your-own flatbread pizzas. Astronauts always crave pizza in orbit, but it's been particularly tough for Italy's Paolo Nespoli. He's been up there since July and has another month to go. Nespoli used the space station's robot arm to grab the cargo ship, as they zoomed 260 miles above the Indian Ocean.

SpaceX delivers first returning vehicle to ISS since shuttle
CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – The International Space Station welcomed its first returning vehicle in years Monday -- a SpaceX Dragon capsule making its second delivery. Space shuttle Atlantis was the last repeat visitor six years ago. NASA astronaut Jack Fischer noted "the special significance" of SpaceX's recycling effort as soon as he caught the Dragon supply ship with the station's big robot arm. "That's right, it's flying its second mission," Fischer said. "We have a new generation of vehicles now led by commercial partners like SpaceX."

Supply ship named for John Glenn arrives at space station
A supply ship bearing John Glenn's name arrived at the International Space Station on Saturday. Astronauts used the station's big robot arm to grab the capsule, as the craft flew 250 miles above Germany. NASA's commercial shipper, Orbital ATK, named the spacecraft the S.S. John Glenn in honor of the first American to orbit Earth. It rocketed from Cape Canaveral, Fla., on Tuesday with nearly 7,700 pounds of food, experiments and other goods. Glenn died in December at age 95 and was buried earlier this month at Arlington National Cemetery.
