Study Machine Learning From Scientists at Amazon in Free Online Summer School

#artificialintelligence

Amazon India is inviting applications from students for the second edition of its online Machine Learning (ML) summer school. The course aims to teach key machine learning technologies by scientists at Amazon and to make the candidates industry-ready for careers in science. The free course, which was launched in 2021, is open to students enrolled in any recognised institute in India, who are expected to graduate in 2023 or 2024. Rajeev Rastogi, vice president of applied science in ML, says, "The tutorial sessions covering the right mix of theoretical and practical knowledge will be delivered by our ML scientists who are experts in their field. This programme will be a platform to help foster ML excellence and strive towards developing applied science skills in young talent."

How Veterans Would Study Machine Learning If He Had to Start Today - AI Trends

#artificialintelligence

How one gets educated for AI continues to be an area worth exploring with many options available. Charting one's career as a member of a newly-formed team working to leverage AI to help the business is best met with creativity and patience. It's as much a mission to find out how organizations are setting up for AI development as it is about finding out what you really want to do. The experience of one now-veteran machine modeler could be timely guidance for many in this context. Daniel Bourke is an entrepreneur running a YouTube site and writing about technology.

So You Want to Study Machine Learning and Civil Engineering?

#artificialintelligence

Machine Learning (ML) in its literal terms implies, writing algorithms to help Machines learn better than human. ML is an aspect of Artificial Intelligence (AI) that deals with the development of a mathematical model which is fed with training data to identify patterns in that data and produce an output. In other words, ML is concerned with the utilization of data to train machines (e.g., computer) to learn things (e.g., identifying different dog breeds) and produce an accurate output when fed with a test data (e.g., this dog is a terrier). The machine gets better (in terms of accuracy of the output) with time and/or with more data. The goal of ML is to make machines that act like humans, to make man's tasks easier.

Most Lucrative Skills: Should I Study Machine Learning, Data Science, or Cyber Security?

#artificialintelligence

Tech is where the money is. From the biggest titans in Silicon Valley to the little Square register at a roadside farm stand, business can't happen without technology. Every transaction and exchange depends on the work of IT professionals wielding a set of specialized and lucrative skills, and the market can't seem to fill some of the most important positions fast enough. Many adult learners want to know if they should pursue an online Cyber Security Degree, Data Science Degree or Machine Learning Degree. All of these jobs have a buzz in the IT field; CIO ranked all three in the top seven "Hottest IT jobs for 2017."

Twitter and the University of California-Berkeley Are Joining Forces to Study Machine Learning

#artificialintelligence

Twitter is teaming up with researchers at the University of California-Berkeley to establish a new research initiative focused on studying and improving the performance of machine learning in social networks. Teams from UC Berkeley and Twitter will look to combine the social network's data and real-world insights with fundamental and applied research components. Algorithms will be top-of-mind, as Twitter staff machine learning engineer Naz Erkan and senior director of software engineering Sandeep Pandey wrote in a blog post, "Today, the consequences of exposing algorithmic decisions and machine learning models to hundreds of millions of people are poorly understood. Even less is known about how these algorithms might interact with social dynamics: People might change their behavior in response to what the algorithms recommend to them and, as a result of this shift in behavior, the algorithm itself might change, creating a potentially self-reinforcing feedback loop. We also know that individuals or groups will seek to game or exploit our algorithms, and safeguarding against this is essential."

At google.ai, study Machine Learning for free; here is how

#artificialintelligence

Technology and search engine giant Google has now introduced an easy-to-learn platform called'Learn with Google AI'. This is available at At google.ai for free. This comprises a set of educational resources developed by Machine Learning experts at the company to help people learn about concepts, develop skills and apply artificial intelligence to problems in real life. When you go to the page on google.ai, it indicates the programme's utility by saying, "Whether you're just learning to code or you're a seasoned machine learning practitioner, you'll find information and exercises in this resource center to help you develop your skills and advance your projects." Google in its blog said, "To help everyone understand how AI can solve challenging problems, we've created a resource called Learn with Google AI. This site provides ways to learn about core ML concepts, develop and hone your ML skills, and apply ML to real-world problems. From deep learning experts looking for advanced tutorials and materials on TensorFlow, to "curious cats" who want to take their first steps with AI, anyone looking for educational content from ML experts at Google can find it here."

New ITU Focus Group to study Machine Learning in future networks including 5G OpenGovAsia

#artificialintelligence

The International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the United Nations specialised agency for information and communication technologies (ICTs), has launched a new ITU Focus Group to establish a basis for ITU standardisation to assist machine learning (ML) in bringing more automation and intelligence to ICT network design and management. Machine learning algorithms are helping operators to make smarter use of network-generated data. These algorithms enable ICT networks and their components to adapt their behaviour autonomously in the interests of efficiency, security and optimal user experience. Fixed and mobile networks generate a huge amount of data both at the network infrastructure level and at the user/customer level, which contain a lot of useful information such as data on location, mobility and call patterns. New ML methods for big data analytics in communication networks can extract relevant information from the network data, and then leverage this knowledge for autonomic network control and management as well as service provisioning.
