A Finish newspaper is using a video game map to smuggle information about the war in Ukraine to Russian citizens, bypassing Moscow's propaganda and censorship. "As we have been widely concerned about the press freedom situation and freedom of speech in Russia, we decided that maybe it's possible to find some new channels to provide Russian audience with some reliable, independent journalism for example about the situations in Ukraine," Antero Mukka, editor-in-chief of Helsingin Sanomat, told Retuers. Helsingin Sanomat, the country's largest newspaper, has struggled to bypass Russian media restrictions and decided to get creative as it looked to also mark World Press Freedom Day, which fell on May 3. "As the Russian government has de facto suppressed its national press and blocked access to foreign media," said Mukka, "Counter-Strike has remained as one of the rare channels that allows us to communicate independent information to Russians about real events from the war." The paper built a map for the first-person shooter multiplayer game Counter-Strike, which is incredibly popular in Russia.

The Russian army accused Ukraine of a "massive" drone attack on its Black Sea Fleet in Crimea on Saturday, claiming the UK helped in the strike that damaged a ship. Sevastopol in Moscow-annexed Crimea, which has been targeted several times in recent months, serves as the headquarters for the fleet and a logistical hub for operations in Ukraine. The Russian army claimed to have "destroyed" nine aerial drones and seven maritime ones, in an attack early Saturday in the port. Moscow's forces alleged British "specialists", whom they said were based in the southern Ukrainian city of Ochakiv, had helped prepare and train Kyiv to carry out the strike. In a further singling out of the UK -- which Moscow sees as one of the most unfriendly Western countries -- Moscow said the same British unit was involved in explosions of the Nord Stream gas pipeline last month.

The Ukrainian Army on Tuesday announced it had destroyed three more tanks belonging to the Russian army using only attack drones. The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) said their officers successfully destroyed three T-72s, Russian battle tanks commonly used by the Soviet Army in the 1970s. The SSU did not specify when and where the attack happened. It is also unclear if there were any casualties. The SSU's report on the recent attack comes just days after it released an audio of an intercepted phone call where a Russian soldier, whose identity was not revealed, told his mother that Ukrainian soldiers who attacked their unit destroyed their tanks and killed more than a dozen comrades.

The Ukrainian army continues to defend its land against the invading Russians and has recently destroyed a Russian tank and killed more than a dozen soldiers as the war enters its sixth month, a new recording revealed. The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) on Sunday released new audio of an intercepted phone call where a Russian soldier, whose identity was not revealed, recounted the attack to his mother. "Mom, we had such a'circus' today! At two o'clock in the morning – fifteen '200' [killed]. Because they all were watching a movie in the tank. They threw it [a projectile] into the turret from a drone! They just approached us, dropped the ammo, and it blew up," the soldier said.

Ukraine destroyed a series of Russian ordnance depots in the 20th week of the war, demonstrating the efficiency of US-supplied HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) rocket systems and other Western systems, and worrying Russian military observers. These Ukrainian attacks appear to be part of preparations for a summer counteroffensive in the southern Kherson and Zaporizhia districts, which border Crimea. Ukraine said it destroyed a key Russian command post in Kherson district along with a weapons arsenal, killing 12 Russian soldiers on July 10. Its armed forces posted drone footage of a depot in flames. Two days later, Ukraine said it had struck another Russian ammunition depot in Nova Kakhovka, also in Kherson oblast, this time killing 52 soldiers.

The Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, has met with Zelenskyy in Kyiv and reaffirmed his country's support for Ukraine "politically, militarily and economically." Rutte said he visited "various place where the Russian army has left behind a horrific trail of death and destruction. I am deeply shocked by what I witnessed today". "These appalling crimes must not go unpunished. This is also the subject of the Ukraine Accountability Conference which will be held later this week in The Hague," Rutte said, adding that the conference is organised by the Dutch government, the International Criminal Court and the European Commission.

The Russian military may create an army of robots equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) by 2025, Chinese media China Daily reported. In September 2017, Putin told students that "AI is both an opportunity and a threat to all countries, as AI is important not only for Russia's future, but for the whole world." According to reports, Russia aims to design a robot army system in 2020 and put it into practical use by 2025. The development and introduction of autonomous driving rides, humanoid robots, and complex command systems operated by robots are planned, and Russia has piloted robotic machines in Syria. The introduction and use of AI in the military is being actively carried out in each country, and the US and China, which have AI technology, seem to have an overwhelming advantage.
