One airline is turning to AI to make it easier for those with mobility issues to get around the airport. British Airways has become the first airline to trial fully autonomous, electric mobility devices in North America.

It seems like every day, another animal is at risk due to climate change. Antarctica's emperor penguin population is the latest to be in trouble. Their numbers have been dwindling thanks to breeding difficulties which are most likely caused by changing temperatures. According to a 2019 study by the British Antarctic Survey, the emperor penguins could completely disappear by 2100. To help save these beautiful creatures, scientists are turning to AI.

We love pets here at YellRobot. But one café in Tokyo may be taking things to a whole new level. Every Sunday, The Penguin Café opens an hour earlier and holds play dates for customers and their dogs. They happen to be robots. Customers seem to be really into the robot play date. They dress their pets in fancy outfits and carry them in dog carriers.

When most of think of robot vacuums, the brand iRobot comes to mind. Their Roomba products are becoming a common fixture in many homes. They've cleaned living rooms, bathrooms, and kitchens. Now the company is looking to have their robots clean up after your pets. On Nov 5, iRobot was granted a patent for "cleaning of pet areas by autonomous cleaning robots."

To help it's nursing students get more real-world experience with pediatric patients, Bunker Hill Community College in Boston is turning to robots. They've been using Pediatric Hal to simulate a 5-year-old male patient. The robot comes from Miami based Gaumard Scientific who are known for their wide variety of medical simulators. Bunker Hill turned to robots partially due to the limited availability of clinical placement slots with patients in the area. Hal is as close to a real as you can get.

Robot restaurants have been popping up all over the globe. While most are located in China and Japan, India has also been getting in on the action. We recently reported on a restaurant in Kerala turning to bots to bring in customers. Now the eastern part of the country is getting its own robot restaurant. It features two humanoid servers named Champa and Chameli.

You are in a pub and trying to order a drink. Someone cuts in front or the bartender simply doesn't see you. In crowded bars, you can end up spending most of your night just trying to order a drink. The Underdog in Central London is claiming to be the first bar in the world to install facial recognition technology. The AI-powered system, which was developed by British company DataSparQ, will help staff see who's next in line to be serviced.
