Google could soon offer an ethics consultation service to companies building Artificial Technology solutions. According to a report in Wired, the search giant may soon offer the service to companies developing AI projects. The report suggests that Google might launch the service before the end of 2020 and initially, it would offer only advice on tasks such as spotting racial bias or creating guidelines to govern the AI projects. Google's plan to offer ethics advice to companies building AI solutions is being mocked even before it could be officially launched and there is a reason for that. Google doesn't have a good track record when it comes to the company's own ethics policy as it has been mired in several controversies in the past few years.

As South Korea eased COVID-19 restrictions, a mobile operator company in the country is reportedly using a robot to reduce human contact and maintain sanitation in the building. According to an international media outlet, a self-driving robot equipped with cameras and an LED screen greets visitors at the lobby of the firm. The robots also check the temperature of the employees and also dispenses hand sanitiser and disinfect the floor. The white robot politely also reminds people to'take part in social distancing'. Several corporate companies in South Korea have now reportedly been using robotic for tasks including manufacturing and cleaning.

The video which was shared by YouTube channel The Faking on the video streaming platform has received nearly four thousand likes till now. The video shows Bezos imposed on a body of one of the bulbous-headed alien race the Talosians while Musk plays the human captain Pike. Justice Bobde who will be the 47th Chief Justice of India has asserted that there may be a need for some minor changes in the justice system of the country by the inclusion of the use of technology such as artificial intelligence. "Justice delivery system is good, it might require some minor changes, including the use of technology like artificial intelligence. It's a good system, you need to use some other things," Justice Bobde told ANI. He said the justice delivery system is good, but also pressed on the need to introduce some long term and short-term measures to make the justice delivery system better.

Researchers have created a new system that can flag spoilers in online reviews of books and TV shows. The system is based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology. "Spoilers are everywhere on the internet and are very common on social media. As internet users, we understand the pain of spoilers, and how they can ruin one's experience," said Ndapa Nakashole, a professor at the University of California San Diego in the US. Artificial intelligence (AI) can produce digital biomarkers of ageing and frailty by gathering physical activity data from smartphones and other wearables, scientists have found. The finding, published in the journal Scientific Reports, untaps the emerging potential of combining wearable sensors and AI technologies for continuous health risk monitoring with real-time feedback to life and health insurance, healthcare and wellness providers. "Artificial Intelligence is a powerful tool in pattern recognition and has demonstrated outstanding performance in visual object identification, speech recognition, and other fields," said Peter Fedichev from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) in Russia. "Recent promising examples in the field of medicine include neural networks showing cardiologist-level performance in detection of arrhythmia in ECG data, deriving biomarkers of age from clinical blood biochemistry, and predicting mortality based on electronic medical records," said Fedichev. The researches analysed physical activity records and clinical data from a large 2003-2006 US National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).

Scientists have mapped 6,000 new craters on the Moon with the help of a newly developed technique based on artificial intelligence (AI). "When it comes to counting craters on the Moon, it's a pretty archaic method," said Mohamad Ali-Dib from the University of Toronto, Scarborough in Canada. "Basically we need to manually look at an image, locate and count the craters and then calculate how large they are based off the size of the image. Here we've developed a technique from artificial intelligence that can automate this entire process that saves significant time and effort," Ali-Dib said. Researchers have tried in the past to develop algorithms that could identify and count lunar craters but when they were used on new, previously unseen patches of craters they tended to perform poorly.

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is headed to the United States where he is likely to meet the pioneers of research on Artificial Intelligence (AI), the science of making machines that think like humans. Gandhi, who recently returned from Norway, is gearing up for another offshore visit, this time to the Silicon Valley in the US to "expand his thoughts about artificial intelligence", party sources said. The sources said Gandhi wants India to lead in the niche area which comes after software development, in which India has already won global recognition.While AI is still a nascent subject to most in India, many countries including China have begun investments in the area to strengthen research in it. A senior Congress leader said the idea was to bring back knowledge and implement it at the policy level in the Congress party's vision documents.Facilitating Gandhi's US visit is the chairman of Overseas Congress, Sam Pitroda, a technology innovator who was brought back to India by Rajiv Gandhi and was among thosebehind the telecom revolution in the country. The Congress VP had met leaders in the field of biotechnology during his Norway visit.
