panoramic view
A Supplemental Details
Here, we formally define all intrinsic rewards evaluated in the paper. All algorithms use the same network architectures. Observations and changes counts are based on egocentric and panoramic views, respectively. MiniGrid, egocentric views are 147-dimensional while panoramic views are 588-dimensional. Gradients are clipped to have maximum norm 40.
VISTA: A Panoramic View of Neural Representations
We present VISTA (Visualization of Internal States and Their Associations), a novel pipeline for visually exploring and interpreting neural network representations. VISTA addresses the challenge of analyzing vast multidimensional spaces in modern machine learning models by mapping representations into a semantic 2D space. The resulting collages visually reveal patterns and relationships within internal representations. We demonstrate VISTA's utility by applying it to sparse autoencoder latents uncovering new properties and interpretations. We review the VISTA methodology, present findings from our case study ( https://got.drib.net/latents/ ), and discuss implications for neural network interpretability across various domains of machine learning.
The world's best airport gets a major makeover, with an incredible 46ft-high digital waterfall and a robot bartender serving free cocktails
The world's best airport has upped its game. Singapore's Changi Airport reigned supreme over more than 550 airports at the'Oscars of Aviation' earlier this year - and now it's had a major makeover. The aviation hub, which not only clinched the title for the world's best airport overall but also for best airport dining and best airport leisure amenities at the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2023, has'refreshed and expanded' its Terminal 2. With this expansion, Changi can now accommodate an extra five million passengers per year - bringing the airport's total handling capacity to 90million flyers annually. Among the standout new features at the terminal are a 46ft- (14m) tall digital waterfall, an'enchanting' garden with more than 20,000 plants, a dining area with panoramic views of the airport, and a robot bartender which serves a free cocktail to passengers. Guardzilla 360 review: This security cam monitors an entire room, but its unpolished app spoils the experience
Home security cameras have a couple of ways of maximizing the amount of room real estate they can cover. Ultra-wide angle lenses are the most common solution, but they often cause distortion as they squeeze the image to fit. Cameras with motorized pan-and-tilt features let you sweep the room, but this leaves you turning your back on one part of a room to see what's happening in another. The Guardzilla 360, as its name suggests, pulls off the neat trick of monitoring an entire room all at once. The Guardzilla 360 uses the same pyramid design as the original Guardzilla All-In-One HD Security Camera, but this model is equipped with 1712p HD camera on the top pointing up.
'Chinese startup' vows autonomous car by 2020 in US
A'global startup' which makes electric racing vehicles unveiled plans Friday to sell a fully autonomous electric car in the US market by 2020. The company called Nio, founded by Chinese entrepreneur William Li and with offices in Silicon Valley, Europe and China, unveiled a prototype of the vehicle called Eve at the South by Southwest tech conference in Austin, Texas. According to a Nio statement, the car will be'a digital companion, a robot on wheels' equipped with'an artificial intelligence engine with an intuitive human interface, providing verbal and visual connections both within the vehicle and with the outside world.' The new design is more like a living room on wheels than a car. The forward two seats have an'enhanced panoramic view', with digital displays provided on the active glass when needed to support non-autonomous driving EVE has no door pillars, and interior is accessed through a wide forward-sliding door.
