The new, compelling style created by The Beatles inspired François Pachet to investigate how music style is invented. As Director of SONY Computer Science Laboratory in Paris and composer, he led a project, Flow Machines, to research and develop Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems able to generate music autonomously, or in collaboration with human artists. In this fascinating talk, Pachet takes the audience on a journey through the AI applications in the music world, to produce content that not only helps users / composers to explore new ideas, but also to find their own musical style.
