em South Park /em 's New Episode Is Audacious, Even for em South Park /em

Slate

Television's New Episode Is Audacious, Even for Trump and Vance are hard to unsee. The Lincoln Bedroom at the White House has been the site of great history since its construction, from hosting a long list of famous guests and dignitaries to the recent marble-and-gold renovation of its en suite bathroom that was unveiled with great pride (and shocking insensitivity) during the government shutdown. What I'm fairly certain the walls of the Lincoln Bedroom have never seen before, however, was what was shown on Wednesday night's episode of: the president of the United States making sweet, sweet love to his own vice president. Yes, after weeks of headline-grabbing episodes that have skewered President Donald Trump and his administration in delightfully juvenile ways and led to a surge in ratings, this latest installment somehow found new levels of depravity to sink to. As the song "I Want to Know What Love Is" blasts about halfway through the episode, we see Trump and J.D. Vance in bed making out.

Black Mirror written by ChatGPT: creator asked AI to write an episode of his hit Netflix show

Daily Mail - Science & tech

The creator of the darkly addictive sci-fi series Black Mirror saw it fitting to ask ChatGPT to conjure up an episode for Season 6 only to find the chatbot'is sh***.' Charlie Brooker, 52, said he typed in'generate Black Mirror episode' and received a story'that sorta mushed' all the other ones together. The first thing Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker did, when everyone was trying ChatGPT for the first time, was to type in'generate Black Mirror episode.' Speaking to Empire, Brooker found there was no real thought behind the AI-generated script, only that it read'plausibly.' Brooker -- who has been writing most episodes of the haunting, Twilight Zone-esque series since its first 2011 season on UK's Channel 4 -- said that his brush with an AI-generated doppelgänger of his own show did teach him to be less robotic himself. The Black Mirror creator's experience with ChatGPT has encouraged him to make bolder creative choices with future seasons of the dystopian anthology series. One upcoming episode'Beyond The Sea,' starring Josh Hartnett (above) takes place in an alternate 1969 ChatGPT was first unleashed in November, sparking excitement and alarm at its ability to generate convincingly human-like essays, poems, form letters and conversational answers to almost any question. 'I was aware that I had written lots of episodes where someone goes'Oh, I was inside a computer the whole time!''

Laura Ingraham torches woke 'Transformers': 'Shoving' pronouns down kids' 'throats' with 'corrosive lies'

FOX News

Fox News host Laura Ingraham reacts to a segment from the children's show'Tranformers' where two animated characters revealed that they are non-binary. During Friday's edition of "The Ingraham Angle," host Laura Ingraham spotlighted the children's show "Transformers: EarthSpark" for its decision to roll out non-binary characters that go by they/them and she/they pronouns. "As a parent, you often ask yourself, What do my kids need? A loving family, a roof over their heads, a life grounded in faith and freedom. But you probably ever thought what they really, really need is a non-binary robot. But that's exactly what Paramount thinks they need, because in Transformers: Earth Spark, that's what they're giving them," Ingraham began during Friday's show.

New Episode: Where are all the self-driving cars?

#artificialintelligence

The future of mobility is electric, connected, autonomous and shared. With an estimated $100B invested in autonomous driving globally, autonomous driving technology was pitched as the biggest change in mobility since we stopped using horses. Yet in the midst of the COVID-19 global pandemic, where is this autonomous driving (AD) future we were promised? This episode features a radically open conversation between World Economic Forum's Head of Automotive and Autonomous Mobility Michelle Avary, Professor and Director of Duke University's Humans and Autonomy Laboratory Mary Missy Cummings, and Bryn Balcombe Founder of Roborace, as they discuss how COVID has altered our path to the future of mobility. The discussion twists and turns as Michelle, Missy and Bryn talk through the differences between how AI learns how to drive and how a human learns how to drive, cybersecurity in automated driving, why aftermarket AD tech is a no-go, and what a world with universal basic mobility for everyone could look like.

Learning to Ask Medical Questions using Reinforcement Learning

Feature selection is an important topic in traditional machine learning [Li et al., 2018], which motivated a large number of widely adopted works, e.g., Lasso [Tibshirani, 1996]. In various cases, the process of obtaining input measurements requires considerable effort (e.g., time, money, technology). For example, in medical datasets input features may correspond to lab tests, medical imaging results, or even answers to questionnaires, which are expensive and slow to produce. Allowing oneself to to be able to accurately predict a response variable from a small set of input features is thus a desirable goal, which can be manifested in saving time, money, and sometimes even human lives. As a running example, consider the case of a patient complaining to a family doctor about not feeling well. The doctor then asks the patients several questions about his current condition and medical background, and may also ask the patient to do some lab tests. Implicitly, the doctor is aiming at quickly collecting relevant details on the patient that will allow her to have a clear understanding of the patients' medical status, and consequently decide on an appropriate action (e.g., medication prescription, admit for hospitalization etc.).

Why Isn't 'Arrow' On Tonight? CW Superhero Crossover Event Causes Schedule Changes

International Business Times

If you were looking forward to a new episode of "Arrow" tonight, then this news might be a bit disappointing. The hit CW series will not be airing tonight because the network switched around its broadcast schedule this week, and its latest new episode aired this past Monday night instead. The reason for this change was to accommodate the four-show crossover event, "Crisis on Earth-X," with "Supergirl," "Arrow," "The Flash" and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow." With the "Arrow" part of the crossover airing on Monday night after "Supergirl," it allowed for the event to take place over two nights instead of three, and also prevented the flow from breaking up due to the usual Wednesday block of superhero-less programming. The scheduling for "Arrow" will go back to normal next week, just in time for its Season 6 midseason finale.
