There's no question that Apple's Mac Mini is a great desktop computer, offering a surprising amount of power in a shockingly small size. However, it tops out at an M5 Pro processor and 64GB of RAM, with 307 GB/s of memory bandwidth. That's enough for many demanding situations, but AI and content creation power users may need more. The "base" version (starting at 2,500) has an M5 Max processor with an 18-core GPU and 32-core GPU, and up to 128GB of unified memory, depending on the option chosen. That goes up to 5,899 for the 18-core CPU and 40-core GPU version with 128GB of RAM and 2TB storage.

Apple has refreshed the Mac Mini with a brand-new chip, the M6. Impressive gaming for what it is. The Mac Mini has gone through a Peter Parker-esque transformation this year. Just six months ago, it was a meek, unassuming little Mac starter kit, content to fulfill the role of being Apple's smallest and most affordable Mac. It was so easy to overlook that Apple even skipped its M5 refresh last year.

Macs are fantastic computers, but you'll need one of these great displays to complete your work-from-home setup. The Mac Mini is back. And so is the Mac Studio . They've been nearly impossible to buy for most of 2026 thanks to the rising demand for running AI models locally . Prices have risen, yes, but when new models go on sale in late September, they'll finally be out in the wild. And with that, you'll want a decent monitor to match. Whether you need something basic or you're a content creator looking for a high-end display, one of these monitors I've tested below should do the trick.

At IFA 2026, Nvidia and its partners showed off the first RTX Spark-powered laptops and mini PCs, designed to run AI models right on your computer. Three months ago, Nvidia took the wraps off its RTX Spark "superchip" and a handful of future laptops that would use it. It felt like a consequential moment in the history of the PC, despite all the questions that remained. And now, as announced at the IFA 2026 tech show in Berlin, we've had our first hands-on look at one of these laptops, as well as some announcements around RTX Spark-powered mini desktop PCs. Demand for running agentic AI workflows like OpenClaw locally on your computer keeps rising, and these new PCs look like they are designed specifically to feed it.
