LG Gram Pro 2-in-1 (2025) hands-on: Of course a thin and light laptop gets AI at CES 2025

Engadget

It's been ten years since LG introduced its Gram line of ultra thin and light laptops, and despite my early skepticism about its longevity and build quality, the company continues to make new models regularly. It's expanded the portfolio to offer pro variants, clamshells and 2-in-1s, and in keeping with every laptop maker in recent years, LG is now infusing the Gram Pros with more of its own... you guessed it... AI. We already learned about this year's LG Gram Pro lineup when they company unveiled the details last week. From the announcement, we found out that four new models are available. Here at CES 2025, I was able to check out the LG Gram Pro 2-in-1 in person to see what I was able to learn beyond the press release.

CES (aka Consumer Technology Association), which is held in Las Vegas every January, is a week away. That said, LG has chosen to showcase the 2024 models in its gram laptop series right now. In addition to newer models of the old range, the South Korean company is also introducing a new gram Pro model. All the computers will have access to AI functions in the LG gram Link app and the Pro models also have extra support via Intel's neuron processor Intel AI Boost. The LG Gram Pro will be launched with 16- and 17-inch screen sizes.

LG just announced new entries in its gram series of laptops as part of an early CES 2024 reveal. These include two new LG Gram Pro laptops and standard refreshes of the pre-existing gram line. The LG Gram Pro boasts impressive specs, with an Intel Core Ultra processor and a GeForce RTX 3050 GPU. These computers also ship with Intel's AI Boost technology. LG says this upgrade allows the laptop to "handle AI workloads even without a network connection."
