Apple has settled a class-action lawsuit alleging false advertising with Siri AI. To get your cut, you must have bought a certain iPhone model in 2024 or 2025.

Siri AI requires iOS 27 or iPadOS 27, so your first order of business is to check for pending software updates to make sure you're on the latest version. Open the Settings app and navigate to General Software Update to check, then install as needed. Once that's done, head back into Settings and tap Siri Try Siri AI (Beta). If you don't see the option, try changing your language to English (United States) within the same Siri menu if it's not already. Be sure you have United Stated selected under Settings General Language & Region Region, as well.

You'll no longer have to install a beta of one of Apple's latest operating systems to try out Siri AI. The company has released the public versions of iOS 27, macOS 27 (aka macOS Golden Gate), iPadOS 27, watchOS 27 and visionOS 27. As you may have deduced, the major new feature across the ecosystem is Siri AI, the long-delayed revamp of Apple's virtual assistant. Siri AI can pull your personal information from various apps and use what's on screen to bring more context to its responses. There's a new Siri app too, and the company notes usage limits may apply.
