How is AI Contributing to the IoT Revolution?
Today businesses around the world are extracting the potential outcome by deploying IoT in their business operations. They use it to create new and optimized business possibilities. The firm growth of IoT in various industries is spectacular, whereas AI and its influence on a professional and personal level are considered undervalued. However, combining IoT with rapidly improving AI technologies can design'smart machines' that stimulate intelligent behaviours to make a precise decision without any human interference. Thus, AI-IoT together minimizes chances of error and ensures efficiency along with productivity.
The Role of AI in the IoT Revolution
It is true that IoT or Internet of Things revolution is going on, and AI or Artificial Intelligence can play a vital role in it. Let's know how the amalgamation of both technologies can change the scenario of the future in the current post. According to Statista, the global AI market in 2018 was $9.51 billion, and prediction for 2019 is $14.69 billion. Statista also predicted that a number of connected devices in 2019 would remain 26.66 billion in numbers. Now, statistics of both technologies on the web indicate that AI and IoT are emerging and fast-growing digital technologies.
IoT Revolution: 5 Ways the Internet of Things Will Change Transportation
Data influences every aspect of your life. If not completely already, the technological landscape will be completely data-centric in the near future. The device you are reading this article on probably collects your data to optimize your user experience. Or, you may have been recommended this article based on your reading habits. Even, the self-driving car you use may take data collected from other cars on the road to keep you safe.
The role of artificial intelligence in the IoT revolution - IoT Agenda
Let us start with an example of the IoT Revolution in our daily life. Imagine you are going home after work. Your physical and mental parameters are the same every day. Occasionally your pulse is high, you are running and being in a strange fighting mode. But what if you could have a smart wearable, which would measure all these parameters?
Intel digs deep into wallet to buy its way into AI game
Virtual reality may well have been capturing the imagination of the industry in recent months, but Intel's $400 million of AI start-up Nervana highlights it's not all fun and games, reports Telecoms.com. Having set its position as a leader in the data centre market and then largely missed out on the smartphone revolution, it would appear Intel is determined not to miss out on the burgeoning IoT segment, with the Nervana purchase added more firepower to the company's efforts. The acquisition also highlights the importance of artificial intelligence to the development of the technology industry. "Intel is a company that powers the cloud and billions of smart, connected computing devices," said Diane Bryant, GM of the Data Center Group at Intel. "Thanks to the pervasive reach of cloud computing, the ever decreasing cost of compute enabled by Moore's Law, and the increasing availability of connectivity, these connected devices are generating millions of terabytes of data every single day. The ability to analyse and derive value from that data is one of the most exciting opportunities for us all. Central to that opportunity is artificial intelligence."

4 ways that AI is enabling today's IoT revolution
Long past the buzzword stage, both AI & IoT have surged to the forefront of corporate consciousness. But what do the two acronyms have to do with one another practically? In a presentation tonight hosted by Western Digital in partnership with ReadWrite, Accenture Managing Director Tom Stuermer took on that exact topic. A huge percentage of executives – 95% surveyed – expect their companies to use IoT within the next 3 years, but while nearly 3 quarters of them are "exploring" the space, only 7% have a comprehensive IoT strategy. The gap between perceived importance and practical strategy could come quickly to haunt the group as consumer and commercial use of connected devices surges.
