human algorithm
Flynn Coleman with Joseph M. Azam - A Human Algorithm (San Francisco Ferry Building Store)
The Age of Intelligent Machines is upon us, and we are at a reflection point. The proliferation of fast-moving technologies, including forms of artificial intelligence, will cause us to confront profound questions about ourselves. The era of human intellectual superiority is ending, and, as a species, we need to plan for this monumental shift. A Human Algorithm: How Artificial Intelligence Is Redefining Who We Are examines the immense impact intelligent technology will have on humanity. These machines, while challenging our personal beliefs and our socio-economic world order, also have the potential to transform our health and well-being, alleviate poverty and suffering, and reveal the mysteries of intelligence and consciousness.
Can we build morals and values into the robots that run our lives? Should we?
The development of fast-moving technologies, particularly artificial intelligence is causing scientists, human rights activists, and scholars to consider the impact on humanity. In A Human Algorithm: How Artificial Intelligence is Redefining Who We Are, author and human rights attorney Flynn Coleman examines the impact AI will have on humans. Coleman advocates for a diverse group of voices to participate in designing intelligent machines to ensure that, "human rights, empathy, and equity are core principles of emerging technologies." EVENT INFO: Flynn Coleman will be reading from her book, A Human Algorithm: How Artificial Intelligence is Redefining Who We Are, at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park tonight, Mon, Oct.14th, at 7 PM. Watch New Day Northwest 11 AM weekdays on KING 5, and streaming live on KING5.com.

Did God use Machine Learning?
If he had used ML he would have created better machines. In my humble opinion god is a perfectly radical equation which governs everything (We still haven't figured out that equation, obviously). Let's call the equation'The God equation' or'TGE'. Humans are basically learning algorithms which are stuffed into a body. Each human is a unique learning algorithm.
