The responsible development, deployment and operation of machine learning systems
In this episode of the Data Exchange I speak with Alejandro Saucedo, Engineering Director at Seldon, a startup building tools for productionizing machine learning. Alejandro is also Chief Scientist at The Institute for Ethical AI & Machine Learning, a UK-based research center that conducts "research into processes and frameworks that support the responsible development, deployment and operation of machine learning systems". Our conversation covered Alejandro's work at both Seldon and the Institute for Ethical AI & Machine Learning: Our goal in this podcast is to build a community of people interested in Data, Machine Learning and AI. If you have suggestions for us on what to recommend (books, conferences, links), and guests to book, please visit TheDataExchange.media Subscribe to our Newsletter: We have an occasional newsletter where we share highlights from recent episodes, trends in AI / machine learning / data, and a collection of recommendations.
Tellmeplus announces support for Google Cloud IoT Core
Tellmeplus, a software vendor specialized in Artificial Intelligence (AI) applied to Big Data, announced support for Google Cloud IoT Core, a fully managed service that allows users to easily and securely connect, and manage devices at global scale. Cloud IoT Core, together with other Google Cloud services, such as Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Bigtable, BigQuery, and Data Studio, provide a complete solution for collecting, processing, analyzing, and visualizing IoT data in real time to support improved operational efficiency. Predictive Objects deploys artificial intelligence where the data is produced and where decisions need to be made: at the edge of the network and in the connected objects themselves. The integration of Predictive Objects with Google Cloud IoT Core makes it easy for joint customers to deploy and run predictive models in the Google Cloud Platform and inside the devices the platform manages. Key features of the new Cloud IoT Core solution: End-to-end security - Enable end-to-end security using certificate-based authentication and TLS; devices running Android Things or ones supporting the Cloud IoT Core security requirements can deliver full stack security.
