Unstructured Data: The Must-Have For Analytics In 2022 - KDnuggets

#artificialintelligence

Data management has always been crucial to maintaining business continuity for enterprise organizations. For a long time, though, data management referred to the storage of information and the occasional need to access that information. And, for much of that time, the importance of data management has come second to data analytics techniques like machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI). Now, in 2022, the critical nature of data management for enterprise organizations can no longer be understated. Organizations have so much data through which they need to sift that they can't afford to view data management as an afterthought to their data analytics efforts, especially considering that as much as 90% of data worldwide is unstructured.

How to overcome the top 3 AI challenges using data management

#artificialintelligence

Artificial intelligence and machine learning (ML) have become very popular recently due to their ability to both optimize processes and provide the deep insights that push enterprises and industries forward. In fact, 68 percent of respondents in a recent 451 Research Report, Accelerating AI with Data Management; Accelerating Data Management with AI noted that they are either using machine learning or plan to within the next three years. What's more impressive is that 92 percent of those currently using machine learning – including companies that have it in proof of concept – "have positive opinions about the performance of their machine learning projects." Data management technologies that are themselves infused with AI can overcome these challenges and help enterprises get the most out of their plans for AI and ML. Three key barriers stood out in 451 Research's report: a lack of skilled resources, accessing and preparing data and limited budget.

Transform Your Data with Multicloud and AI

#artificialintelligence

The cloud data management market has seen a significant amount of development toward multicloud and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions. Yet, sifting through the clutter to find the most valuable solution remains a challenge for many companies. To help overcome that challenge, there are several considerations businesses should keep in mind when adding new clouds to their data management infrastructure. It is also important to seek out the right capabilities from providers who offer AI in their data management solutions. Offering deployment options on other clouds helps businesses develop applications with their technology of choice, even when they have standardized on a different provider.

With a successful Informatica World 2018 behind us I'd like to share a recap of my session on Next Gen Analytics (NGA) Strategies in a six-part blog series (one on each strategy). I suggest you read the blog I wrote the week before Informatica World that summarized the strategies. To illustrate these six NGA strategies, I'll summarize some of the strategic focus areas from our most successful customers working on NGA initiatives. See if you recognize any of the strategies listed above as you read through these customer stories (HINT: I underlined them for you). Every company wants to be more engaged with customers and provide a better customer experience.

Will Artificial Intelligence Be Big At AWS re:Invent?

#artificialintelligence

In fact I heard it's gonna be so big, that AWS had to rent a whole additional Vegas hotel to keep it all in! OK so I am only half kidding… For anybody following this space, the explosive growth of this conference, has been one of the biggest indicators of how massive AWS has become and the type of attention AWS has been getting. The growing attendance from Fortune 500 companies in recent years has demonstrated the focus on AWS within enterprise IT departments. This is very much in line with what we are seeing, here at Informatica, among our many large customers. And this year will mark the biggest AWS re:Invent yet!
