Build a unique Brand Voice with Amazon Polly Amazon Web Services

#artificialintelligence

AWS is pleased to announce a new feature in Amazon Polly called Brand Voice, a capability in which you can work with the Amazon Polly team of AI research scientists and linguists to build an exclusive, high-quality, Neural Text-to-Speech (NTTS) voice that represents your brand's persona. Brand Voice allows you to differentiate your brand by incorporating a unique vocal identity into your products and services. Amazon Polly has been working with Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) Canada and National Australia Bank (NAB) to create two unique Brand Voices, using the same deep learning technology that powers the voice of Alexa. The Amazon Polly team has built a voice for KFC Canada in a Southern US English accent for the iconic Colonel Sanders to voice KFC's latest Alexa skill. The voice-activated skill available through any Alexa-enabled Amazon device allows KFC lovers in Canada to chat all things chicken with Colonel Sanders himself, including re-ordering their favorite KFC.

KFC is apparently cooking up the world's first Colonel Sanders dating simulator. Is KFC really cooking up a Col. Sanders dating game? It sure looks like it. A new entry on the Steam PC game store entitled "I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin' Good Dating Simulator," promises to let players see if they "have what it takes to be the business partner of and win the heart of the most famous chicken salesman of all time."

Sorry, there will never be a Bernie Sanders (or Colonel Sanders) version of Minecraft

PCWorld

Donald Trump can buy himself many things, but he will never be able to officially build a 10,000-block-high statue of himself in Minecraft. And no, don't expect to mine Moria as part of a Lord of the Rings server. Microsoft and its Mojang subsidiary said Tuesday that they will begin blocking corporations and politicians from using Minecraft to promote their own agendas, including the sale of products, movies, or political views. "We want to empower our community to make money from their creativity, but we're not happy when the selling of an unrelated product becomes the purpose of a Minecraft mod or server," Mojang wrote in a blog post. The new additions are now part of Mojang's Commercial Usage Guidelines.
